Finds himself tumbling down the weights and has looked to be out of form all season so far. Recent 14L defeat at Beverley leaves a bit to be desired and others are preferred.

0-7 in Britain but has won for his previous trainer in France. Creditable third on seasonal debut at Leicester two starts ago before fading to finish seventh in 7f Chester handicap. Step up in trip should be no issue at this track. Claims.

Looked to turn over a new leaf courtesy of ready success in 1m2f Pontefract handicap on latest start after some disappointing performances. That form is modest but a repeat of that performance should see her go close.

Hasn't won since October 2017 but form has regressed so far this season since good Haydock third in June. 9L defeat last time leaves a bit to be desired but is back around his last winning mark.

Failed to back up his 6L Wolverhampton success last time when down the field in 1m2f Beverley handicap. Escapes a penalty in this and can't be ignored for a yard who are in good form.

Three-time course winner during her career but has been slightly regressive in her last two starts, including 8L eighth in 7f contest here a week ago. Unproven at this trip and a bit more is needed.

Out of sorts since solid third over 7f here at the start of the season. Drops back in trip after failing to stay at Catterick (1m4f, good to soft) and is hard to fancy on current form.

14:10 Musselburgh - 9 August 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

It's been a fruitful period for trainer Mark Johnston recently and preference is for KWANZA, who seems to be getting the hang of racing on her latest start and with the possibility of a lack of pace in the race, her proven stamina over 1m2f could tell. Ishebayorgrey has found one too good in recent times and while that could be the same case again, only slight improvement from his current mark is needed to go close in this contest, while Ballymount may give a good account for himself over a track which has less emphasis on speed.
