Sir Percy filly who was an 8-1 debut winner at Lingfield (1m, standard) last September; hasn't kicked on as positively as one might've hoped since; easing in the weights without appearing to be a winner in waiting.
Consistent; 4lb higher than when overcoming a slow start to beat Edmond Dantes by 1¼L over C&D in May; holds few secrets from the handicapper but should run his usual solid race in an open looking contest.
Hit the buffers following a 9lb rise for his 1m Leicester win (had earlier scored on the July Course at Newmarket); on the book has work to do with Highwaygrey and remains untested at 1m2f.
Headed back in the right direction since scoring on soft ground at Nottingham (1m2f, soft) in June - form franked by the runner-up Mukha Magic; no extra close home at Pontefract latest (second); 2lb higher; chance.
Eight-race maiden; basically has been a disappointment showing no signs of progression since upped in trip; this €130,000 yearling might come good eventually (mark is easing) but certainly couldn't be recommended at this stage; look elsewhere.
Well beaten in three AW maidens (7f-1m) and off the track for a period of 148 days; starts off his life in handicaps from a lowly mark (55); should stay on pedigree (dam won over 2m2f) but truthfully makes little appeal.

An open finale in which plenty can be considered with the likes of Highwaygrey and Northern Lyte wonderfully consistent during the early weeks of summer. Helian is an unexposed handicap debutant who could take a step forward now upped in trip while very similar comments apply to the Karl Burke-trained Power Player who ran well when making the frame at this track (1m) three weeks ago. However, without a necessarily strong degree of confidence the vote goes to the soft ground tested FIREWATER. He held his own in defeat at Pontefract less than a fortnight ago, and can hopefully cope with a subsequent 2lb rise in the weights.
