Progressing with each start this season and runner-up effort at Nottingham (5f; good) was clear best effort of recent times. Now competes off a career-low mark and this veteran has genuine place claims.

Won over C&D and been runner-up three times at this track, but is not one to take seriously after being quiet on all seven starts this year. Best watched.

Posted more encouraging effort when a close up third at Beverley (5f; good) recently, and he should be involved again if turning up in similar form. However, that isn't guaranteed after the way he has been running this year.

Followed up promising runner-up effort at Nottingham (5f; good to soft) in June with a narrow win over C&D just 10 days ago. Drew clear of the third and should remain competitive, despite carrying 4lb penalty.

Returns to 5f after not being beaten far in a warm event at Chester (6f; good). This represents a big drop in grade, and he could take advantage of that off a 3lb lower mark. Interesting contender.

Talented claimer onboard and 7lb below last winning mark, but has been in dreadful form in three starts this campaign. Plenty more is required if he is to be competitive in this contest.

In the frame on each of his last three starts. Form ties closely in with Four Wheel Drive on the form of their Beverley (5f; good to firm) run last month. Possesses genuine place claims once again off an unchanged mark.

Fine effort in defeat when he belied odds of 66-1 when third at Chester (5f; good) two starts ago. Not disgraced last time out either when fifth at Haydock (5f; good to soft). Can't be fancied as a win prospect but has fair place claims.

Johnny Cavagin (5/2), Move In Time (11/4), Fizzy Feet (4/1), Suwaan (5/1), Four Wheel Drive (5/1), Militia (12/1), Billy Dylan (12/1), Henley (16/1), Red Stripes (20/1)

Four Wheel Drive and Suwaan are closely matched on the form of their encounter at Beverley, but the strength of their overall form isn't as strong as others in this contest. Move In Time has progressed with each start this season, and his latest second at Nottingham was a clear seasonal best. Another name to note is Johnny Cavagin who maintained his good run of form with a victory over C&D where he drew four-length clear of the third. However, a chance is taken on the sole filly in the field, FIZZY FEET. She fared better than the result suggests when pitched into a Class 2 at Chester last time, and can get back on track returned to calmer waters.
