Three Colours Redp23
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: Alan Johns| T: Tim Vaughan| OR:  114
11/1
Won over hurdles at Warwick in May but hasn't looked a natural in two efforts over fences of late. Eased in the weights but appears to face a stiff task on what we've seen so far.
2
Horse silk
Primal Focusp106
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-9| J: Jack Tudor(7)| T: Christian Williams| OR:  111WS
7/2
Looked certain winner when falling at last at Fakenham in March but bounced back last time with game effort to score at Newton Abbot in April. Returns from wind surgery off 6lb higher mark and looks a player.
4
Horse silk
Alderbrook Lad13
Age: 13|  Weight: 11-8| J: Alain Cawley| T: Micky Hammond| OR:  110| C| D
25/1
Veteran who has amassed 11 career success but none beyond 2m5f. Hasn't shown any worthwhile form for a year or so and despite falling mark is hard to enthuse over.
5
Horse silk
Silver Manb35
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-3| J: R Johnson| T: S Flook| OR:  105| C| D
14/1
Stays much further than this but has been in-and-out of form of late. Chance on decent second off this mark at Warwick in May but ran poorly at Cartmel last time.

Horse silk
Fr Humphreyp225
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-1| J: T Scudamore| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  103| D
8/1
Three-time chase winner in Ireland makes his British debut for new handler. Won over this trip at Fairyhouse in November but not seen for more than seven months. Has gone well fresh in the past.
7
Horse silk
Teeton Powerp18
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-0| J: Adam Wedge| T: Miss Kelly Morgan| OR:  102| D
4/1
Yet to score under Rules but ran a cracker on debut for current yard when still holding every chance at the last at Uttoxeter recently only to tie up on the run-in. Runs off same mark and every chance if ridden with a touch more restraint.

Horse silk
Shady Glent,v42
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-10| J: Lily Pinchin(7)| T: D Killahena & G McPherson| OR:  98| CDWS
5/1
Three wins here including two at this trip, most recently in May last year. Not been in great form of late and returns here from wind surgery. Nicely handicapped on old form if breathing has been fixed.
9
Horse silk
Jot'em Downp35
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-8| J: Tom Cannon| T: D G Bridgwater| OR:  96
5/2
Made winning handicap chase bow at Plumpton in April and has run respectably in both outings since. Still 6lb higher than that winning mark but should be there or thereabouts.

Horse silk
L'Es Fremantle11
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-0| J: Philip Armson(7)| T: M C Chapman| OR:  72| C
80/1
Only success from 63 attempts came here over 2m5f in November. Has been badly out of form since then and very hard to see him figuring here form 16lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts

Jot'em Down (5/2), Bletchley Castle (10/3), Primal Focus (7/2), Teeton Power (4/1), Shady Glen (5/1), Fr Humphrey (8/1), Three Colours Red (11/1), Silver Man (14/1), Alderbrook Lad (25/1), L'Es Fremantle (80/1)

15:30 Market Rasen - 4 August 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A trappy handicap chase in which SHADY GLEN is a tentative selection in the hope his recent wind surgery will allow him to show his old form. If so, he is undoubtedly well handicapped at a course he loves. The youngster Primal Focus is a big danger. He too returns from a wind op having been progressive this spring and there could be more to come. Irish import Fr Humphrey and the mare Teeton Power are others worth considering in an interesting contest.
  1. Shady Glen
  2. Primal Focus
  3. Teeton Power
