Arrives in good form after a Catterick win (7f, good to firm) from 7lb lower, and a head defeat over C&D last time. Up another 3lb for that, and has never won in higher than a class 6 race, so more needed to do so.

Was a soft ground winner as a three-year-old, and won two more on AW last year, when with Eve Johnson Houghton. Beaten just 1L over C&D from this mark in May. Held in two runs since, but can't rule her out back here.

Is 6-80 on turf. Goes on any ground and all his wins on this surface have been gained on more undulating/stiffer tracks that this. Hard to fancy on recent form.

Has shown ability without yet threatening to break her duck. Beaten favourite at Chepstow last time. 2lb drop should help, and an each-way possible.

All three wins have been over 7f with good in the going description. 2lb below the last of those, just over a year ago. Needs to step up significantly on this year's efforts.

Has won on both good to firm and soft ground at up to 1m2f. 3lb higher than when scoring at Haydock on reappearance/first run since wind surgery in April, but it has been a tale of woe since.

Pontefract novice winner (5f, good to soft) on his second start as a juvenile. Best effort since then came when 4L third at Sandown (7f, soft) last time. Drops 2lb but more needed.

Sole win came over C&D (soft) in May, when 2lb lower. Flopped back on AW next time, but it was also on the Polytrack that she ran well last time, when a neck second from this mark. Inconsistent, but has a squeak if at her best.

Showed some ability in novice/maiden events and confirmed that with a good handicap debut run last time, when 2¾L fourth of 10 at Newbury (1m, good to soft; first-time hood). Remains of interest from the same mark.

0-23 and has been headed close home in five of his six starts this year, four of them from this mark. Should go well again, but clearly vulnerable for win purposes.

Won twice on testing ground at Pontefract as a juvenile, but has been unable to those in 11 subsequent runs. 2lb 'wrong' here and others preferred.

A few with chances here. Mr Strutter has to be considered among them based on recent form, but he is high enough in the handicap again now, and his record at this level is less encouraging than when contesting class 6 races. Classic Charm is not the most consistent, but if at her best she could go close, while Loose Chippings and Tarbeyah are others of interest. However, BIDDING WAR was back in better form last time, and with Hanagan up, she might be able to break her duck.
