Improved a little from debut when fifth of 11 at Windsor last time out but surely going to need plenty more to get the better of some well bred sorts here.

Gutaifan colt, cost 85,000 gns as a foal and £75,000 as a yearling. Only ninth of 15 on Doncaster debut and while yard's runners are capable of significant improvement from debut, it looked a below par maiden he contested last time.

Kodiac colt, cost €150,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to three winners including two Listed performers. Runner-up in what looked a decent race at Haydock on debut and a fascinating contender here with Dettori booked.

Gutaifan colt, cost €32,000 as a foal and €16,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to 7f winner, dam a half-sister to 1m1f Group 3 winner. Yard can ready a newcomer and they tend and they have a good record at this meeting; worth a market check.

Acclamation colt, cost €130,000 as a yearling. Promising debut when fifth of 10 in a decent race at Haydock but has work on to reverse form with Cobra Eye (second) on that evidence. Respected for last year's winning yard.

Footstepsinthesand colt, cost 55,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to a useful sprinter and dam a half-sister to a Group 1 winner. Unruly in the stalls prior to withdrawal at Newbury earlier in the month, worth a market check.

Dubawi colt, generally related to winners over further. Dam a Listed winner and half-sister to a French Derby winner. Green on debut when beaten in to a 7L second by one with experience; may do better over further.

Raven's Pass colt, cost €30,000 as a yearling. Dam a winner and sister to a Listed winner. Likely to need more of a stamina test than this.

Holy Roman Emperor colt, cost €19,000 as a yearling. Dam a half-sister to a winning sprinter. Others make more appeal on pedigree.

Gutaifan colt, cost €40,000 as a yearling before fetching €150,000 later in the year. Dam a half-sister to Group 2 winner Signora Cabello. Took step forward from debut when runner-up at Newbury last time out but will need more against these rivals.

COBRA EYE put up a big performance on debut with a useful sort back in third and if he can improve for that run, he could be hard to beat here. Phuket Power is a fascinating debutante with a speedy pedigree while any market support for Fuwayrit could be significant for a yard that have a good record at this meeting.
  1. Cobra Eye

  3. Fuwayrit
