His yard has won two of the last six renewals of this race and this fellow has been highly consistent since he joined the O'Meara camp from France last summer. The gelding ran a blinder at York last month and he'll be thereabouts with a similar run.
On a reasonably attractive mark and responded well for today's rider in his last couple of outings. Was just a length behind Markazi at York last month but now better off at the weights; any rain would suit.
Won on his seasonal bow (and return from wind surgery) at Leicester in April but posted mixed form since; best when held up and surging late from a strong pace; should have the race run to suit but style of running demands a bit of good fortune.
Good effort when third over a longer trip last time and very possible his new trainer has been left a bit to work with; however, the gelding isn't particularly well handicapped and he was only forth - from 5lb lower - in this race last year.
Has some decent course form to his name but two starts since his win at Doncaster have been modest and he now looks weighted to the limit.
C&D winner on his penultimate start but 3lb higher and was held in a Class 5 from this mark last time out; has gone well here before now but this looks his toughest test for a while.
The least exposed in the line up and the drop in trip is likely to suit better than the 1m2f trip at Epsom last time out. The handicapper has cut him some slack but this still looks a big ask for the three-year-old.

MARKAZI has held his form well since joining his current trainer and, given the yard's obvious targeting of this race (won this twice in the last six years), this looks like a well thought out piece of placement. King's Pavilion doesn't have much to find with the selection judging by their recent encounter at York and has to be noted as a live danger; as does the bang-in-form three-year-old Seductive Moment, who is thriving on being kept busy and has to enter the calculations despite picking up a double penalty for two wins in the last eight days. The filly has played her part in what has been a record breaking month for her stable, so has to be shortlisted.
