Red Jazz colt who was foaled on April 26 and cost €6,000 as a yearling. He is a half-brother to Shaazab who won over 6f as a two-year-old and Todd's Forge who scored over 7f as a novice. Likely type on debut
Had just on horse behind him on his debut at Newbury (6f) over 6f when going off at 20/1. He was in contention with 1f to go but weakened at the finish. This trip looks more suitable. One to watch on his second start.
Finished sixth of 11 on his debut at Yarmouth (6f). Was up with the leaders with 2f to go but was unable to quicken with them in the closing stages. An improved performance can be expected here on his second start and drop in trip. Each-way claims.
Has finished fourth on both of his two starts so far, with his latest attempt coming at Leicester (5f) in a eight runner field when going off at 9/2. Open to improvement and is from a yard in form. One to consider.
Improved on his debut start when third of 10 at Nottingham (6f) last time where he led but was unable to hold on inside the closing 1f. This drop down in distance should help. One for shortlist on the basis of his latest run.
Came close to breaking his maiden on his second career start over this C&D when second of nine, beaten by just a head. Didn't run too badly last time when fifth of 15 over 6f here. Back down in trip. Leading player on form so far.
Showed some promise over this C&D on her debut back in May when sixth of 12. Did not build upon that last time at Bath (5f) though, as she had just one rival behind her in a 10 runner field. Needs to bounce back from latest attempt.
Was pulled up on her opening start at Kempton (7f) on the AW after just 2f after going amiss. Returned to action at Doncaster (7f) where she was in contention with 2f to go before fading. This distance looks ideal. One to consider.
Dream Ahead filly who was foaled on January 26 and cost 6,700 guineas as a yearling. Her dam was unraced but is a sister to Hamada who won at trips up to 1m6f. Best watched on opening start of her career.
Was sixth of eight on her debut at Goodwood over this distance where she ran green throughout. Knows what it is all about now, therefore, she may settle better this time which will help her chances. One to watch.
Forecasts
Swinley (3/1), Golden Dragon (7/2), Love Powerful (4/1), Royal Ambition (6/1), Saras Hope (7/1), Treaty Of Dingle (9/1), Bright Red (14/1), Colonel Whitehead (25/1), Jungle Boogaloo (25/1), Pure Purfection (25/1)
SWINLEY was only denied by a head last time over this C&D and he can be backed to go one place better as he stands out on the pick of the form of these runners. Royal Ambition has probably not shown anything near his potential so far and should learn from the experience of his two runs for a yard bang in form, while Saras Hope will appreciate the drop back to 5f and may just take some passing at the end of the race.
