Push The Tempoh93
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: T J O'Brien| T: R Stephens| OR:  131| C
7/2
Bumper/hurdles winner (2-2 here) who has been highly tried since scoring the second of those hurdles victories. Not disgraced when last seen in a handicap and this is an easier grade; still looks a shade too high in the weights though.

Peruvien Bleu15
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-11| J: Chester Williams(5)| T: Mrs J Williams| OR:  130
16/1
Managed to return to somewhere near his 2017 winning form this spring without getting his head in front this time around. Failed to complete the last twice (fell heavily when last seen); mark if 130 still looks a challenge for him.

Cubswin58
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-9| J: Bryony Frost| T: N B King| OR:  128
10/1
Thrived back from a winter break after an AW tune-up with two 2m handicap hurdle wins of slightly lower marks in the spring. Not so good the last twice although those two outings came in more exacting company than this; not written off at all.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-8| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr| OR:  127| D
6/1
A speed test around a sharp track appear to be his ideal conditions especially if the ground stays as it is. An early mistake last time put him out of contention early but he does have a rather stiff mark to deal with courtesy of his last win.

Majestic Touchh228
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-4| J: R Johnson| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR:  123| C
9/2
Overcame mistakes and a long absence to follow up a previous Uttoxeter win around here over slightly shorter last September (handicap debut). Performed with credit all bar one start since; claims if tuned-up and ready to go after a break.
6
Horse silk
Teqanyt15
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| OR:  123
13/2
Scored over fences/hurdles in Ireland for his former yard before producing a career best on his GB/stable debut at Stratford last time. Does have a rather inflated handicap mark to deal with; up 1lb for third last time; more gains need to be made.

Tamarillo Grovet22
Age: 12|  Weight: 10-10| J: C Brace(5)| T: Mrs S Leech| OR:  115| CD
13/2
Needs very little introduction round here (eight-time course winner); not won anywhere else since 2014. Thwarted in his hat-trick bid last time at Market Rasen in a better grade; capable off this mark and hard to rule out at his home venue.

Chapmanshype26
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-8| J: G Sheehan| T: Jamie Snowden| OR:  113
7/2
Bumper winner on his Irish debut; had a wind op before his debut for this yard. Made a quick/successful switch to handicaps (won at Ffos Las off 3lb lower). Still in good form last time (form looks sound), unexposed, more to come off a strong pace.

Forecasts

Chapmanshype (7/2), Push The Tempo (7/2), Majestic Touch (9/2), Constancio (6/1), Teqany (13/2), Tamarillo Grove (13/2), Cubswin (10/1), Peruvien Bleu (16/1)

15:15 Newton Abbot - 29 July 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Most of these can be given a chance with a couple of fairly unexposed types lurking in the weights. One of that group would be CHAPMANSHYPE whose third at Worcester last time has been shown to be good form since and granted a strong gallop he should go close here. Majestic Touch is another who we may not have seen the full potential of yet, the market will be a good barometer of if he’s ready after an absence. Tamarillo Grove can never be dismissed around here although only one of his course wins has come at this trip (winner on this card last year). Cubswin has to be respected on her spring form whilst Constancio despite a stiff mark will find course and ground conditions to his liking.
