Took an age to get off the mark over obstacles finally doing so last July at Perth off a 1lb higher mark. Given a break after that he's been well below form in three starts since; plenty to prove now.
Given a chance by the handicapper he scored on his initial start for this yard at Worcester (2m7f) before running as well in defeat under a penalty dropped markedly in trip. May have his quirks though (outbattled last time); still on a fair mark.
Plenty of placed form to his name of late but not looking as though he's gone to get all the job done anytime soon. Without his usual cheekpieces last time, that headgear returns here but he does look vulnerable off this mark for win purposes.
Showed plenty of promise over 2m4f here in May coming back off a lengthy break; duly confirmed that form with a winning effort at Fakenham over this trip. That form made to look better by the subsequent exploits of the second; more to offer up 5lb.
Like many that switch to this yard has been revitalised by the experience winning a mares' C&D handicap hurdle last week in effortless fashion by 7L. Penalty negated by the rider's claim; yard have a good record of recording back-to-back victories.
Nowhere near the form that he showed when winning a weak Huntingdon handicap chase in April demonstrating how unreliable he is overall. Now back over hurdles for the first time since earlier in the year; hard to give a solid chance to.
Cheekpieces now tried instead of blinkers but the change of headgear would need to spark dramatic improvement with her hurdles form very poor. 6lb out of the weights here; holds very little interest in this sphere.
Winning point-to-pointer who has yet to even place under Rules compiling a 0-18 record so far. Back over hurdles from 8lb out of the weights having displayed a very recalcitrant attitude over fences at Plumpton last time; of little interest.

Trainer Dan Skelton has a good record when following up with last time out winners and Theatre Act if this doesn’t come too quickly has a fine chance of following up her C&D victory but there may just be a little more value in siding with WEST TO CROSSGALES. His Fakenham win over Sirobbie reads well given the subsequent form that the second displayed when winning a Class 2 Uttoxeter handicap hurdle. Rasasee adds another layer of depth looking a rejuvenated sort for the Brace team while Layerthorpe wouldn’t be out of this if he can build on his reappearance run last time with the handicapper continuing to give him a chance.
