Made quite an underwhelming start to his racing career when he couldn't manage to beat a single rival on debut at Doncaster (7f; good). This is as tough and he needs to show a great deal more than he did then.
Looked clueless on debut at Wolverhampton (7f; standard). The form of that race is likely to be found out as pretty poor, but he could show more now that he is switched to turf for yard whose runners tend to develop with experience.
One of a trio of runners in this contest for yard who are well-represented. Made debut at Wolverhampton (6f; standard) when seventh behind the hugely exciting Chesham Stakes winner Pinatubo. Makes turf debut/steps up to 7f and could surprise a few.
Yard always respected at this track. Brazen Beau colt. Made 67,000gns as a yearling. Would probably have to be quite smart to win this on debut, but he could grab a place.
Havana Gold colt. Made 250,000gns as a yearling. Half-brother to the talented Spectre. One of two representatives for yard. Very exciting newcomer for yard who do well with these types.
Lope De Vega colt. Half-brother to the smart Red Box who won a Listed race at Ascot for these connections. Dam won the French Oaks. Should have a bright future and could play a part on debut. Yard back among the winners, betting may be informative.
Sea The Moon colt. Cost 55,000gns as a two-year-old. Another one whose stable aren't too well known for having first time out winners. Best watched on debut.
By Nathaniel. Cost 11,000gns as a yearling. Deep race for him to make his debut in, and stable aren't renowned for having many winning newcomers. Therefore, a watching brief is advised.
Well-beaten but still ran well in fourth behind subsequent Superlative Stakes winner Mystery Power on latest maiden run over C&D. Would have to step up by some way on what he has shown so far in maidens if he is to be involved.
Debut effort was full of promise when third at Newcastle (7f; standard to slow) last month. Now makes turf debut, and although this will probably turn out to be a deeper race, he is likely to be very competitive judged on that debut effort.

A Novice Stakes race jam-packed with plenty of potential. After making a very encouraging debut when third on the tapeta at Gosforth Park, You're My Rock showed enough to suggest he could go close in a race of this nature moving forward. The newcomers Mambo Nights and Tell Me All both make lots of appeal on paper and are likely to have bright futures, but they are unlikely to be street-wise enough to topple the only winner in the field, FRED, on their racecourse debut. The selection showed a very likeable attitude and marked improvement from his debut effort when off the mark at Leicester last time and can deal with the 6lb penalty with the minimum of fuss.
