Makes flat debut for this yard after a 985-day absence in this sphere. Not looked in love with the game in a pair of outings over Jumps since returning to the track in April.

Impossible to fancy after a pair of poor runs in maidens. Sent off at 100-1 on both of those starts and has ran accordingly.

Winless in seven starts, but has strung together a pair of respectable runner-up efforts the last twice. Only found the talented Simply Beautiful too good at Naas (1m; good) most recently and a repeat of that may be good enough.

Vulnerable to improvers after five starts. Standout run was probably when third at Leopardstown (1m2f; good to yielding) in April. She needs to step up by some way on all known form.

Major improvement needed after finishing eighth in a 13-runner affair at Tipperary (7f; yielding to soft) on debut. Look elsewhere for better alternatives.

Horse silk

Showed minimal progress when midfield at Tipperary (7f; yielding to soft) last time. That form not good enough to entitle her to feature here, and is more of interest when moving into the handicap ranks.

Intriguing sort, given that she hasn't been seen since making a highly promising debut when third behind Pink Dogwood at Gowran Park (1m; heavy) last season. Obviously not had a clear run but is a huge player if retaining most of that ability.

Debut effort when third over a furlong shorter at this track was quite promising, and although the form of that contest isn't the strongest, she should still have a part to play with that experience under her belt.

Poet's Voice filly. Half-sister to a two-year-old winner. Dam is a half-sister to smart French Oaks winner Star Of Seville. Place claims on debut.

Slightly outran odds of 50-1 on debut when sixth at Cork (1m; good). Still unlikely to threaten the leading players too much though, and likely to be of stronger interest when moving into handicaps.

Acclamation filly. Half-sister to three winners. Stable not readily associated for success with winning debutantes. Should have a future but best watched at the moment.

Horse silk
33/1
Switched yards after a pair of respectable fourth-placed finishes in maidens. Probably needs to step up on the bare form of those races as this is a tougher race, but place claims if able to do so.

Daughter of Shamardal. Half-sister to three winners. Yard operating at a 27% strike-rate currently, and she represents powerful connections so obvious claims on debut.

18:20 Curragh - 20 July 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

An intriguing maiden to round off the card, with a chance taken on the most interesting runner in the contest MIA MARIA. The selection has obviously not been straightforward to train with just the one career run to her name in September 2018. However, she finished third behind this year's Epsom Oaks runner-up Pink Dogwood on that occasion, and provided most of that ability remains, she can begin to make up for lost time at the chief expense of Bellakris who posted a career best last time when just denied by a well-fancied Ballydoyle inmate. Next best is likely to be Royal Highness who ran an eye-catching race when staying on over 7f to snatch second first time out.
  1. Mia Maria
  2. Bellakris
  3. Royal Highness
