Supreme Vinniet26
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-7| J: K C Sexton| T: Miss D O'Shea| OR:  132| CD
20/1
Took this race last year off a 5lb lower mark and now tries for a repeat having not been seen to best effect last time at Kilbeggan (2m4f, good). Left with plenty to do there and hampered he's not won since his C&D success last year.

Draycott Placet26
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-6| J: L Quinlan(7)| T: J P Ryan| OR:  131| C| D
25/1
Twice a course winner (once over fences) his overall record is a patchy one underlined by a below-par start last time. Prior to that he was in better form when claiming a Ballinrobe 2m1f handicap chase for the second time; 6lb higher than last win.
3
Horse silk
Mrs Lovett26
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: D A Jacob| T: G Elliott| OR:  128| D
10/1
Successful in three chases last winter the last a bloodless success in a Thurles novice she's shown promise in her last two handicap starts. Left the impression she could have finished closer than third last time (travelled well; plenty to do).
4
Horse silk
Ravenhill26
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-3| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott| OR:  128| BF| C
9/2
Three-time winning hurdler who made a belated but successful start to a chasing career when winning here over shorter. Failed to justify short odds last time but in retrospect may have faced a tough task; handicap debut in any sphere, should go well.
5
Horse silk
Ellie Macp32
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: H De Bromhead| OR:  127| BF
5/1
Took a couple of novice chases at up to 2m4f late last year but wasn't up to graded races after those successes. Confirmed her return to form at Roscommon last time over 3m proving her stamina but likely to be better back over shorter in handicaps.

Horse silk
Punches Cross26
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: J J Slevin| T: J P O'Brien| OR:  123
10/1
Dual 2m handicap chase winner either side of the New Year last scoring off a 6lb lower mark. Three tries since then off this mark over longer trips, he doesn't look handicapped out of events; yet to try this trip, contender if he stays.
7
Horse silk
Miss Sassiet24
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-11| J: Sean O'Keeffe(7)| T: P Nolan| OR:  122
14/1
Not won since this time last year when scoring at Wexford off a 13lb lower mark over 2m4f (appeared to struggle off higher marks after that). Back to form over hurdles (2m) last time off a much lower mark; still needs to prove herself off this mark.
8
Horse silk
St Lawrence Gapb,t24
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-8| J: Donagh Meyler| T: E Doyle| OR:  119| C
20/1
Flat/hurdles winner who was given a considerate ride on his chasing debut over 2m at Punchestown. Failed to repay that kindness as yet in two subsequent starts; goes into handicaps for the first time in this sphere; 4lb lower than last hurdles mark.
9
Horse silk
Mindsmadeup28
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-7| J: S A Shortall| T: M J Smith| OR:  118
3/1
Back over fences last time (second start for this yard), strong in the betting and produced a career-best to score easily at Downpatrick last time by 17L. Handicapper has jacked him up 10lb, although given the style of the victory that isn't harsh.
10
Horse silk
Hash Brown26
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-6| J: Darragh O'Keeffe(5)| T: M Hourigan| OR:  117| C
7/1
Winning hurdler/chaser who has returned from a long absence to show that he still has plenty of ability (has won off higher marks in the past). Unlucky to bump into an improved rival at Kilbeggan last time (several of today's rivals behind).
11
Horse silk
Shanpallasp57
Age: 11|  Weight: 10-5| J: L P Dempsey| T: C Byrnes| OR:  116| C
20/1
On a rather long losing run which continues to grow and despite the rapidly falling mark he doesn't look in the sort of form to take advantage. Entitled to come on for the run after six months off last time but needs a few to falter to score.
12
Horse silk
Allardyce139
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-4| J: B J Cooper| T: E J O'Grady| OR:  115| C
14/1
Took a Cork novice in November (2m5f) which appeared to indicate he was back on track having made an encouraging start to his chasing career. Three ensuing runs have proved rather different running well below form on his last two starts in handicaps.
13
Horse silk
Art Of Securityb,t26
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-4| J: K J Brouder| T: N Meade| OR:  115
12/1
Yet to score over fences (0-7) but did show some signs of a revival last time in first-time blinkers when fifth at Kilbeggan facing several of today's rivals. May have gone for home too early (faded late on); potentially well handicapped.
14
Horse silk
He Rock'sb,t118
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-0| J: D E Mullins| T: S J Mahon| OR:  111| D
66/1
Sixteen starts since he last won a race; failed to complete in three of his last four starts (pulled up the last two starts). Fared poorly even in a change of headgear last time producing a laboured effort; hard to endorse.
15
Horse silk
Aranhill Chieft7
Age: 12|  Weight: 9-12| J: Phillip Enright| T: S J Mahon| OR:  109| D
50/1
Another in the field with a long losing run to his name and he offered little back from an eight month break over hurdles last time. Returned to fences his recent form in this sphere doesn't raise much enthusiasm for support.
16
Horse silk
Cable67
Age: 7|  Weight: 9-12| J: A W Short(5)| T: S J Mahon| OR:  109| C
50/1
His one chase win came at this venue but over a short trip (2m2f) than he faces today. Appears to have rather lost his way since then; well beaten when last seen out back off a break; one of the first beaten and that could be the case again here.

17:40 Limerick - 13 July 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A competitive and complex event containing several well handicapped types with last year’s 1-2 Supreme Vinnie and Miss Sassie returning although it may pay to look elsewhere this time around. Another Plate trial at Kilbeggan gives us several contenders including Hash Brown with honourable mentions going in the direction of Mrs Lovett and Punches Cross who were just behind Michael Hourigan’s contender that day. On that same card Ravenhill who made an impressive chase debut here over 2m3f was beaten but he must enter the equation along with Mindsmadeup. ELLIE MAC appeared not to quite see out 3m when favourite at Roscommon, this slight drop in trip can see her land this prize.
  1. Ellie Mac
  2. Hash Brown
  3. Mindsmadeup
