A weather forecast showing a 70% chance of heavy rain overnight dampens enthusiasm for Remember The Days who looked ready to strike soon at Ripon, but who is undoubtedly a better horse on top of the ground. The opposite applies to SEMPRE PRESTO who had Diodorus marginally behind at York last time. Both may have been flattered in a race that suited those held up off the pace, but they are at least at home on the anticipated going and the same cannot be said about their rivals.
