Cost 145,000gns as a juvenile; 6-1 when making all for a comfortable 1L debut win at this track (7f, soft) last month; steps up in trip on much faster ground carrying a penalty.
Dubawi colt from a 1m-1m4f winning dam (Anjaz); half-brother to the 1m4f+ winner Rivercat; could well have a positive role to play on racecourse debut; market helpful.

£20,000 yearling; 33-1 when well beaten on sole start in a 7f Newcastle novice auction stakes last July; unappealing.
Noble Mission colt; 25-1 when finishing an encouraging fourth of 14 to Far Above in the Alex Scott Maiden at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) in April; off since (78 days), but that form just about sets the standard.

Forecasts

Joyful Mission (4/6), Vitralite (7/2), Dubai Future (9/2), Laurier (7/1), Itmakesyouthink (33/1), Juniors Dream (66/1), Imajorblush (100/1)

21:00 Haydock - 5 July 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Dubai Future is a noteworthy newcomer for Godolphin. Vitralite carries a penalty on vastly different ground seeking to follow up his recent 7f course debut success while the filly Laurier is open to substantial improvement from her Kempton debut sixth, although she'd have made considerably more appeal on an artificial surface. Therefore, perhaps the safest option is to stick with the Sir Michael Stoute-trained JOYFUL MISSION who made a promising start in a Newmarket maiden in April, and that form just about sets the standard.
  1. Joyful Mission
  2. Laurier
  3. Vitralite
