Carries a 5lb penalty for turning in a career-best when winning at Brighton last time over 1m2f (her second C&D win). Suited by the way the race developed, faces quicker ground here but has coped with this ground before; 2lb well-in, respected.

Course winner over 1m on quick ground here in May taking advantage of a career-low mark to score her initial victory. Two runs over the same C&D since off today's mark haven't been that convincing; tries a new trip to spark some more progress.

Best run for this yard has come on good ground so this surface should suit after she shaped well enough on good-to-soft last time (failed to fully settle). Handicapper has already given her a chance; she's eased slightly again here to a career low.

Ruined her chance at the start last time and better judged on her previous efforts if she doesn't repeat those antics here. Still a maiden but her three best performances have all come on quick turf over this trip or further off higher marks.

Looking at her career record some of her best showings have come on quick turf (should be well suited by conditions). Failed to come on for her reappearance over C&D last time (ran in snatches/down in class); chance if back to her best.

Looks the sort who has been brought along gradually with this test in mind although she has gone backwards from her debut in two subsequent starts. Yet to race on turf, takes her elders making her handicap debut, market may provide more clues.

Takes on older horses for the first time having shown improved form up in trip over C&D stepping on to turf first time (second handicap start). Helped by the race scenario last time (held up off strong pace); unlikely to get the same situation here.

Twice in AW handicaps she hasn't been seen to the best effect; probably a handicap in her off a lowly mark. Moved into the race well on handicap debut 1m2f (didn't stay); dropped in trip last time (not seen to maximum effect); bit to prove at 1m2f.

Forecasts

Sadlers Beach (15/8), Cwynar (4/1), Delirium (9/2), Couldn't Could She (5/1), Perfect Grace (12/1), Whimsical Dream (16/1), Brockagh Cailin (16/1), Vanity Vanity (20/1)

20:40 Bath - 3 July 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Two of the leading candidates in Sadlers Beach and Couldn’t Could She have a chance of following up their last time out victories but the scenario (strongly run race) may not be the same for the former and the latter has to produce another career best under a penalty. That said it may pay to look amongst the rest of the field for a winner with Delirium looking a likely sort given her previous form on a quick surface that she will face here. PERFECT GRACE is by far the least exposed in this field, yet to race on turf it’s suspected that handicaps especially stepping up in trip will suit her and she’s taken to show far more than she has so far (her siblings needed stamina tests).
  1. Perfect Grace
  2. Delirium
  3. Couldn't Could She
