Wind surgery looked to have not worked when disappointing on stable debut in 6f Wolverhampton handicap in March. Has undergone another wind operation since that run and gives weight to all of his rivals. Opposable.

Didn't shows any signs of improvement on second start when well beaten at Redcar (6f, good) last Saturday. Makes a quick reappearance, but yard are horribly out of form and unlikely to be competitive.

Two starts at this track have yielded two last-place finishes, including over C&D last month. No obvious chance of improving and is best watched.

Gelding operation appeared to work when a fair second of 13 at Windsor (6f, soft) off the back of a 270-day break. Winner of that race is likely to be a Group-class performer and has obvious claims on that form.

Regally-bred colt who made an encouraging stable debut when fifth of 14 at Kempton (7f, standard to slow) earlier this month. Form of that race is working out well and interesting contender if there is market support.

12,000 gns yearling. Out of an unraced dam but is the son of a champion sprinter who landed the 2013 Diamond Jubilee and July Cup. Early gelding operation may not be a positive but can't be discounted for powerful connections.

150/1 outsider when last of 11 on seasonal debut at Thirsk (7f, good to soft) off the back of a lengthy absence and gelding operation, which seemingly didn't work. Stable haven't had a three-year-old winner and unlikely to be a shock winner.

Improved from first start on the track when a narrow second in 6f novice stakes at Carlisle earlier this month. Form may be franked by the time she runs but is on the shortlist with expected improvement.

50,000 gns purchase at the Breeze Up sales in April. Dam is a Listed winner over a mile in Ireland out of star stallion and is worth a market check on racecourse bow.

Modest sixth of 11 on first start in 6f Ripon contest earlier this month when she ran quite green. Yard's horses tend to come on for their debuts and holds an obvious chance.

Daughter of a stallion who didn't train on from his two-year-old days during his racing career and is out of an unraced dam. Trainer has only had one three-year-old winner in four years and very much the rank outsider.

Forecasts

Ejtilaab (6/4), Crantock Bay (9/4), Debonair Don Juan (10/3), Diamond Shower (6/1), Friday Fizz (14/1), Cominginonmonday (33/1), Gorgeous Gobolina (40/1), Jeans Maite (50/1), Sandytown (50/1), Doncaster Star (66/1), Kyllachy Castle (150/1)

18:30 Doncaster - 29 June 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

In what looks to be a winnable maiden contest, the preference is CRANTOCK BAY who looked refreshed horse on his seasonal debut and will be hard to beat on the basis of that form. Diamond Shower has been progressive in typically competitive northern contests and if she continues her upwards curve will be there or thereabouts, while Debonair Don Juan could make a bold bid if able to irk out the necessary improvement from his Kempton run.
  1. Crantock Bay
  2. Diamond Shower
  3. Debonair Don Juan
