A winner over this distance at Redcar and subsequently ran third twice since at Bath (1m6f) and Catterick (2m). Stays well, is still seemingly improving and should make another bold bid.
Upped markedly in trip he narrowly failed to land a gamble at Redcar over this trip. Odds-on over the same trip at Beverley next but very disappointing in fourth. Foolish to dismiss a return to form now though with cheek-pieces added.
Upped to this trip at Redcar last time out he finished a 3½L fourth to Victoriano who he is 7lb better off with this time around. Aforementioned rival probably improved since so he must to turn the tables.
Step up to 1m4f latest brought about huge improvement as he finished second at Brighton but the impression left was that he would be even better over further still. 5lb rise perhaps harsh but still makes plenty of appeal.
Made little impression over 7f and was tailed off when upped to 1m2f latest although heavy ground as likely as the trip to have caused that. Mixed messages pedigree wise for this trip but others offer safer investments.
Found a chunk of improvement when upped to this trip for the first time at Bath latest when winning narrowly with Victoriano 1½L back in third. 2lb worse off with that rival today but could confirm placings.
Step up to 1m4f at Salisbury penultimately brought about some improvement for all she was well held but upped to this trip latest she was well beaten. Not seen enough to inspire confidence.
Return effort over this trip no better than in a forgettable two-year-old campaign but 100/1 third over 1m3½f here last time out much more like it. Will have to improve further now but at least now there is hope.

William Haggas is the top trainer at this course over the last five years and he can boost his 24 per cent strike rate here with FUNNY MAN who ran really well over 1m4f latest while looking likely to improve further for this extra 2f. Closely matched pair Victoriano and Lock Seventeen both have genuine claims with the former given the narrow edge having run three solid races on the spin.
