Stable debut (previously with Ivan Furtado); four-time winner on the AW; all on Tapeta). Slipping down the weights, not disgraced last time having run well over C&D last time; still searching for his first win in over two years.

Hard to think that he will be competitive over a trip that is as sharp as this having found 1m2f on the short side last time. Visor popped on for the first time to inject some zip; yet to win a race (0-13), can be slow away and that won't help here.

Interesting if only for the switch of stables (yard do well with this type); only won once in Ireland over 1m at Dundalk. Long losing run to overcome but has run respectably of late; remains on a workable mark, market watch advised.

Usually runs with credit but the losing run is starting to stack up again (last win May 2018). Back to form after a poor run at Hamilton last time, his usual patient ride seeing him run on when it was all over; danger of that happening again.

Showed something like his old form when second at Wolverhampton last time over 7f (second run back from a wind op; cheekpieces on). Got going very late and should be better suited by a return to this 1m; yet to win a race but one to consider.

Winless since his purple patch in the summer of 2017 when he won three times on turf at up 1m1f (all with cut in the ground). Yet to fire at all this season and cheekpieces now return in an attempt to eke out some progress; others persuade more.

Four-time course winner (three over this trip) but the last of those came in early 2018 (off a 9lb higher mark). Appears to have lost his way since (has also had a wind op); ran poorly last time back on the Flat after a spell over hurdles.

Slipped back below his last winning mark by 2lb although he's hardly a winning machine (3-50); took a step back in the right direction last time after two poor efforts. Last two wins have both come on Tapeta including over C&D; not written off.

Seasonal debut having run without much zest when last seen over 7f here. Cheekpieces now replace the blinkers worn the last twice; presence of a very inexperienced apprentice signals the fact this may be needed; limited appeal.

Very little to show for his recent efforts having had a wind op before starting this season's campaign. First-time cheekpieces along with the usual tongue-tie produced little improvement last time, hard to make a sound case for his chance.

Definitely has his quirks and he's one who finds little for pressure which keeps his long losing sequence very much alive. Comes here on the back of a typical weak finishing efforts at Hamilton; song likely to remain the same again.

Looked a touch unlucky not to win a weak Musselburgh handicap on his penultimate start over 7f (failed to get a clear run when it mattered; finished well). Couldn't build on that effort last time though; course winner but comes with risks attached.

The only three-year-old in the field he's shown some fair form but has yet to win a race and remains below his best for the most part this year. Last two starts (both in headgear) have been poor; has looked less than straightforward in the past.

16:40 Newcastle - 27 June 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A weak event where it’s necessary to read between the lines with the two stable switchers Roman De Brut and Paved With Gold sure to attract some attention with the latter being particularly interesting if there are some positive market vibes. Adventureman brings C&D form into the race and hinted that he might be coming back to some sort of form when taking fourth in testing conditions at Haydock. SHERZY BOY was having just his second run for this stable (and his second after a wind op) when running a fair race at Wolverhampton last time, this 1m looking as though it was needed. Rebel State and Top Offer are two others with chances on their best form.
