Bred to be a speedy juvenile (£36,000 yearling), first foal of a 6f Wokingham Stakes winner. Ran to a modest level on debut at Yarmouth (5f, soft), not really bred for that surface, may be more at home on the AW, yard having a fine juvenile season.
From a yard going well overall; 3-6 with their juvenile debutants this year. By Exceed And Excel he's closely related to 1m1f winner Materialist; dam winner at up to 1m. Faces some improving types but hard to think he will be far away.
Yard 4-29 with juveniles this year (0-7 on AW) he improved switched to the AW (Tapeta, 6f) last time although still lacking in race sharpness. Form looks better now (winner was fourth in the Chesham); further progress should be forthcoming.
Made plenty of appeal on pedigree on debut (half-sister to numerous winners); overcame inexperience and some market weakness to score at Pontefract (6f, soft). Won with a little in hand (penalty to defy), appeals as the type to win more races.
From a fledgling yard (1-14 with juveniles so far) she offered something to work on from her debut finishing in midfield over 6f at Thirsk. Didn't fail through lack of experience (hampered latter stages); should be better for the experience.

Some fair types in this headed by the Pontefract winner Ota Ma Boati who now has to take on the boys under a penalty although she still receives weight from all bar one due to her sex allowance and is expected to improve again. WELCOME SURPRISE took a step forward on Tapeta last time leaving his debut effort well behind finishing third to a couple of smart types and he’s taken to open his account at the third time of asking. Roger Varian’s Exceed And Excel newcomer Spreadsheet has to be respected with the yard going so well at the moment and built a good record with the juvenile newcomers this season.
