Four-time C&D winner who won again here off 1lb lower mark in higher grade three starts ago. Has top weight to carry and has disappointed twice since but decent young rider claims 5lb and he really does love it round here.

Model of consistency this term and won over C&D penultimate start before decent runner-up at Catterick last time. 1lb lower now and no reason he shouldn't again be in the thick of the action.

Carries 5lb penalty after win over 7f last week having scored previously over this C&D. In great form at present and hard to say with any certainty that his winning run will come to an end.

First-time cheekpieces applied here and won over C&D last year off a mark of 68. Two wins on Fibresand at Southwell since then but two poor efforts on turf of late. has been eased 3lb since last below-par effort.

Just 1-18 on turf but may not have seen it out over 7f at Carlisle last time having previous scored over this trip on AW at Newcastle under today's rider who again claims 7lb.

Only win in 25 starts came on AW and is 0-13 on turf. Made little impression over C&D last time so appears to have it all to do despite 2lb lower mark.

No show over C&D last time but stable now emerging from a quiet spell. Eased 6lb so far this season and now 4lb lower than last success at Carlisle last year. Chance if able to bounce back.

Went close last term over a mile at Kempton for Hugo Palmer. Campaigned at that trip for current yard and has dropped 20lb in weights this term so arguably well in if able to adapt to sprinting. Worth a market check.

Only win and best form at 5f but has run poorly all four starts so far this season at that minimum trip. 3lb lower than latest effort but has a lot to prove on recent form.

Won twice over C&D as a juvenile. Has lost his way since than and careered down the weights. Still no sign of revival last time but was in process of running fair race here three starts ago when hampered. Lively outsider.

0-13 but put up a good display when second over C&D last time on second start back from wind surgery. Raised just 1lb and bold show on cards if in same mood.

A typically wide open sprint handicap with many candidates, but recent Brighton winner Cracking Speed seems sure to be popular with Ryan Moore on board. He should go close but hat-trick seeking CAPTAIN DION should make a very bold bid and is riding the crest of a wave. Highly Sprung goes for his fifth C&D win and has to be respected despite the steadier of top weight, while Tricky Dicky, Mosseyb and Dawn Breaking all have a shout if putting their best foot forward.
  1. Captain Dion
  2. Cracking Speed
  3. Mosseyb
