Has made a seamless transition back to rules racing after rediscovering his verve in PTP's; carries a 7lb penalty after hacking up at Stratford (2m6f+, soft) on Tuesday; jumps well and the sounder surface is no concern.

Rules winner for the likes of Sam England and David Pipe, although admittedly hasn't always been the easiest of horses; won under the steering of local MP Guy Opperman in a 3m Sedgefield PTP last month.

Adaptable in terms of trip (2m-2m5f) and was on the premises over 2m here in May 2018 when beaten just over 3L by Sleep In First; is likely to need this race after more than a year off the track.

Forecasts

Ronava (6/4), Shimla Dawn (4/1), Iskabeg Lane (4/1), I'm An Izz Wizz (9/2), Ueueteotl (8/1), Dun Faw Good (10/1), Border Breaker (14/1), Onlyfoolsownhorses (20/1), Indian Voyage (25/1)

16:55 Hexham - 23 June 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The peculiarly named I'm An Izz Wizz was back to winning ways at Downpatrick last week and makes the shortlist in a perfectly winnable Class 4 handicap, while it would also be foolish to be writing off the chances of the consistent Dun Faw Good following a relatively solid performance (second) over 3m here three weeks ago. However, there's a strong likelihood that the Grand National winning trainer Dr Richard Newland will be returning back to his Worcestershire base with a double. His rejuvenated 11yo RONAVA jumped splendidly at Stratford on Tuesday, and on the basis of his earlier PTP form he should take the switch to this sounder racing surface in his stride.
  1. Ronava
  2. I'm An Izz Wizz
  3. Dun Faw Good
