Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: R Johnson| T: M Keighley
10/1
Cost £40,000 as a 3yo; started off promisingly when finishing a keeping on second to Emitom at Ascot (1m7½f, good) last November; has failed to scale such heights since, but this is probably a weaker race; chance.
€3,000 yearling; fourth foal; half-brother to the point/2m6f hurdle winner Dream Crusher; dam was a point/2m5f selling hurdle winner; unlikely scorer.
Cost a mere €2,400 as a yearling (rose to €60,000 as a 3yo); second foal; half-brother to the 2m2f hurdle winner Its All A Lark (D.McCain); his dam Itsalark was also a bumper winner; represents leading connections.
Bought unraced for £2,000 in October 2018; 16/1, and beaten 18L when finishing third of six on debut at Southwell (1m7½f, good); others readily preferred.
€22,000 foal, €34,000 yearling; third foal; dam was an unraced half-sister to three winners including the bumper/2m-3m1f hurdle winner Cross Kennon; market helpful.

Beaten 8L on debut in an Oldcastle 4yo maiden (3m, good) in April; joined current connections soon after for £30,000, and this race represents a reasonable starting point for his rules debut.

Placed on debut in a 3m 4yo maiden at Castletown-Geoghegan; didn't back that performance up three weeks later (pulled up); switches to rules racing for a yard who know exactly how to produce more than their fair share of NHF winners.

€5,000 foal; eighth foal from a 2m6f/3m winning hurdler (My Name's Not Bin); half-brother to three winners, including Thyne For Gold (2m4f-2m7f); worthy of a market check with Brian Hughes booked to ride.

28/1
Bought cheaply for £800 as a 3yo; closely related to the 2m hurdle winner Mo Chailin; 33/1, when finishing 13½L fourth of seven to Olly The Brave on debut at Warwick (2m, good) last month.

Forecasts

Belfast Banter (15/8), Craigneiche (9/4), Beyond The Pale (9/2), Apache Creek (6/1), Ben Buie (10/1), Kingrullah (16/1), Wbee (28/1), Onboard (28/1), Overtougeorge (40/1), Castleplunkett Kid (50/1)

17:20 Market Rasen - 21 June 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The majority of clues will come from the market exchanges with the newcomers Craigneiche, Apache Creek and Kingrullah all hailing from respected stables, and the former pointers Belfast Banter and Beyond The Pale also noteworthy on rules debut for Dan Skelton and Fergal O'Brien respectively. However, we'll take a chance on the more experienced BEN BUIE who shaped very well on debut at Ascot last November, and returns to action following a three month break after struggling in a valuable Newbury bumper won by the very exciting Get In The Queue (a final winner for Noel Fehily).
  1. Ben Buie
  2. Belfast Banter
  3. Craigneiche
