The Defiant merits plenty of respect seeking a hat-trick but we'll opt to wait and see how he handles today's softer ground, especially with Dancing Mountain expected to get closer than at Thirsk a fortnight ago. Therefore, for small stakes the David O'Meara-trained DANCING RAVE gets the marginal nod. She stuck on stoutly for pressure when winning at Thirsk, and under a 6lb penalty is certain to appreciate similar underfoot conditions.
