12/1
Declaration Of War filly who cost 30,000 euros as a yearling. Yard have fair share of two-year-olds who do well on the AW, but not firing on all cylinders at the moment (over two weeks since last winner; have had 18 runners in that time).

Horse silk
8/1
Dutch Art filly who cost 25,000gns as a yearling. Related to plenty of winners and her trainer is in good form at the moment, operating at a 24% strike rate (5-21).

Horse silk
33/1
Zebedee filly who made 13,000gns as a two-year-old. Yard are yet to get going with their newcomers this term. Watching brief advised on debut.

Horse silk
20/1
In front of The Lazy Monkey on debut, and then ran to a similar level next time out at Nottingham (5f; soft). Soft ground possibly to blame for lack of progress displayed from first to second run. Makes AW debut.

Horse silk
12/1
Both career starts have came over 5f. Latest of those when well-beaten at Beverley (5f; good to firm) in a Novice. Should improve plenty for going up to 7f, but still has something to prove on the basis of what she has shown so far. Watch betting.

10/1
Made a pleasing enough debut when fifth at Newmarket (6f; good) in a Novice race. Steps up to 7f and although the form of that Newmarket race hasn't fully been tested yet, she should have a part to play.

Horse silk
33/1
Starspangledbanner filly who cost £4,000 as a two-year-old. Yard not wildly associated with two-year-old winners and is best watched unless the market was to speak heavily in her favour.

Horse silk
Romsey12

10/11
Displayed bundles of promise on debut at Windsor (6f; good to firm) when pushing an odds-on favourite all the way to the line. Step up in trip should suit and she is the one to beat in this less competitive contest.

Forecasts

Romsey (10/11), Mrs Dukesbury (3/1), Pink Tulip (8/1), Blausee (10/1), The Lazy Monkey (12/1), Hashtagmetoo (12/1), Callipygian (20/1), Angels Faces (20/1), Boston Girl (33/1), Lightning Bug (33/1)

13:55 Chelmsford City - 8 June 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This should go to ROMSEY who showed enough to suggest she can win a race of this nature when making a debut filled with promise at Windsor recently. The step up to 7f should be firmly in her favour and it would be disappointing were she not to improve on that debut effort. Callipygian had excuses last time and is another who should improve for the step up in distance after two decent efforts. She also has the services of the talented claimer Cieren Fallon (who offsets 7lb) to boot. Mrs Dukesbury hails from a yard who do extremely well with two-year-olds on this surface, and she would be of definite interest if the market was to speak in her favour.
  1. Romsey
  2. Callipygian
  3. Mrs Dukesbury
