Well held on debut for this yard on the Flat last time out but is highly effective at this course and would be dangerous to overlook on evidence of that run. The betting can guide as the gelding races from 2lb below his last winning mark.
Has a course win to her name (2m4f) and should have benefited from April's reappearance at Ayr; 7lb above her last winning mark but stays well and has won for the champion jockey before now. Johnson's skill in the saddle an obvious plus point.
Won at Kelso from a 6lb lower mark last October and returned in good heart at Ayr last month; still lightly raced and has scope to improve at the trip. Interesting to note how the betting market reacts to the first-time headgear.
Can be effective in the right company as he proved when emerging as a convincing winner at Warwick in April. However, he was well held back at the same course last month and has a bit to find on these terms.

Very likely that FOLLOW THE BEAR will set out to make this a good test and top weight might not be enough of a burden to stop the Nicky Henderson-trained gelding. Angel Of Harlem goes well for Richard Johnson and has to merit consideration despite the mare needing to prove this trip suits her ideally. Court Dreaming has scope for improvement and completes the shortlist ahead of Wynford, who is another with course form to his name but has something to prove on his debut run over hurdles for his new yard.
