Looked as good as ever when fourth over 6f at Newmarket on return, but not in quite the same form there last time, fading after making the running. This is an ease in class, and he's well worth trying at the minimum trip.
Has won twice on AW, but yet to figure in three turf runs. Opposable on that basis, although was very badly drawn at Chester last time, and easy enough to put a line through that effort.
Has won twice on a sound surface, taking advantage of a lenient mark when landing a minor gamble at Bath (5½f) last time. Should remain competitive, and has been found a good opportunity for follow-up bid.
Highly tried after winning a 5f novice at Lingfield a year ago, and badly handicapped as a result. Failed to beat a rival on handicap bow in September, and best watched with a hood fitted for this return.
On a fair mark on balance, and stayed on well when 1½L second of 9 to Roulston Scar in a 5½f handicap at Wetherby last time. Should run well if taking to cheekpieces, for all drop in trip is a slight worry.
Proving consistent at a modest level, and found a bit extra to win a firm-ground 5f handicap at Bath last time. Sure to give her running, but 4lb rise demands improvement.
Has lost his way having made a promising start for another yard, and well held in handicaps this season. Needs more help from the handicapper.
Forecasts
Naughty Rascal (2/1), Thegreatestshowman (9/4), Dark Shadow (5/1), Shining (6/1), Uncle Jerry (11/1), Fly The Nest (20/1), Country Rose (20/1)
DARK SHADOW can look tricky, but has a fair strike rate in handicaps, and isn't in any deeper than for his recent win at Bath. Perhaps Naughty Rascal, down in grade and trip, can prove the main stumbling block, although Thegreatestshowman caught the eye at Wetherby last time, and is also one to consider.
