4/1
Dual turf winner who makes her AW debut who failed to get the run of the race last time (stumbled start; found traffic problems) over 1m. Already a winner at this trip she should be able to handle the drop in distance; still nicely weighted.

7/1
An AW (Polytrack) winner when dropped in grade last year over 6f having already won over 5f on turf. Ran poorly on her return to action at Lingfield (AW) finishing last of eight in a 7f handicap; mark still workable but needed to show more last time.

Didn't appear suited by the 6f trip at Carlisle last time on her first run for this yard since leaving Andrew Balding. Has some AW experience but yet to run on Tapeta; will appreciate the return tom7f but needs to show a little more to get involved.

Enjoys this surface having won here three times over 6f from six starts generally at her best when allowed to stride on (all wins coming from prominent rides). Now tries 7f again (0-2 at the trip so far); hopes pinned on an easy lead.

4/1
C&D winner at the end of last year showing improved form (got the run of the race); form proved strong. Yet to build on that though in two starts so far this year although a return to her winning C&D form can't be ruled out others are preferred.

Makes her return to action (handicap debut) having ended her light juvenile campaign with a win in a Kempton 7f minor event. She won well on that occasion and if ready after an absence she could well do better in this sphere; one to note.

Twice shaped well on her qualifying runs before going into handicaps showing last time over 6f at Chelmsford that she needs more emphasis on stamina. May do better going handicapping back over 7f; ran badly on her only previous Tapeta outing.

9/2
C&D winner when leaving her debut form well behind staying on well to land a minor event in April (form only weak). Well held on her turf debut last time and needs to show more progress making her handicap debut back on the AW.

Forecasts

Queen Penn (4/1), Mums Hope (4/1), Deira Surprise (4/1), Kodiac Lass (9/2), Winter Light (7/1), Maid For Life (8/1), Turanga Leela (14/1), Rux Ruxx (18/1)

16:10 Wolverhampton - 31 May 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Some fillies in this that are capable of showing more than they have so far and it won’t be a surprise to see Queen Penn make a successful start to her AW career with this drop to 7f not expected to be a problem. A trip of 7f leaves doubts about the stamina of Turanga Leela with any pressure for the lead likely to have a negative effect. MUMS HOPE has a significant absence to overcome but her Kempton win showed that she was a useful filly and her trainer Hughie Morrison punches above his weight with his three-year-old handicap newcomers. Maid For Life is of similar ilk but her previous Tapeta flop leaves her with something to find overall but she’s not ruled out.
