Sir Prancealot filly who cost 12,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-sister to three winners. Showed little on debut but being by Sir Prancealot she may show more on a faster surface. Worth a look in the market.

3/1
Finished runner-up on all three starts to date most recently on the fibresand at Southwell over this trip three weeks ago. One for the shortlist in a race that should take little winning.
13,000 gns half-sister to four winners. Bred to be effective at this trip and not highly tried on debut for her in form yard.

Comes from a good family and she has shown some ability whilst being comfortably held on both starts. Looks likely to take a step forward now tackling 6f, but others have shown more.

Last two runs on turf have been of a similar standard. No world beater but she is not far off the level required to win this.

Starspangledbanner filly who cost £7,500 this year and is a sister to a 5f AW winner. Showed enough ability on debut to merit consideration in a race such as this.

Lost a lot of ground at the start last time when well behind Forced. Made late gains and will be more of a force at this trip, however she remains of little interest until learning to get away on terms.

Horse silk
10/1
38,000 gns daughter of Kodiac whose dam is related to useful miler Gabrial. Holds an entry in the Super Sprint so has presumably shown more speed at home than the pedigree suggests. However, yard off to a slow start with this age group.
Swiss Spirit filly out of a poor maiden, and fetched just 800 gns as a yearling. Didn't show a great deal on Kempton debut but outran odds of 100/1 at Newbury and will go close here if that was not a fluke.

Forecasts

Bettys Hope (3/1), Bacchalot (3/1), Lili Wen Fach (11/2), Forced (13/2), Swiss Bond (8/1), Maisie Ellie (8/1), Strawberry Hind (10/1), Faldetta (12/1), Show Me Heaven (80/1)

15:00 Chepstow - 23 May 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Forced may be open to the greater progress for the switch to 6f but many of these are ahead of her on form. Lili Wen Fach and Bettys Hope are two to have shown more without actually progressing, whilst cheap buy Swiss Bond is not far off this level judged on her latest run at Newbury. Faldetta would not have to be anything extraordinary to make a winning debut and Bacchalot may do better than at Nottingham with the ground drying out. She finished behind MAISIE ELLIE that day and Paul George's filly, related to five winners, does not need to build much on a promising display there to be a factor here.
  1. Maisie Ellie
  2. Bettys Hope
  3. Swiss Bond
