On a workable mark now if able to recapture the form that saw him win well in this grade over a mile at Pontefract (good to firm; 6-4f) last July. Rarely threatened since however and poor in both starts this season, hood now tried.
Below his last winning mark, and came to hand early last season, but has been disappointing on both starts this year, visor now tried and remains with questions to answer.
Had been hard to win with before three successes last year, however remains 3lb higher than last win-mark. Vulnerable to a better handicapped and well-held late on Thirsk on Saturday.
Seems best on good or softer ground, winning at Haydock (1m) last April and second there off this mark in September (1m2f). Poor at Windsor last week, drops in distance now and could enter picture should it rain.
Handicapped to require his best stuff and efforts either side of winter layoff haven't been encouraging. Latest saw him beating only one rival home over a mile at Pontefract (good to firm) 19 days ago.
Won a Thirsk novice race in April 2018 over this trip for Richard Fahey, though held in subsequent handicaps. Still looks high enough in ratings, having run poorly over hurdles since joining this trainer.
Gained two wins in 2018, both over this trip at Musselburgh and Pontefract (good/good to soft). Mostly consistent last term but hasn't started this season with much enthusiasm. Now back on previous win-mark, however.
C&D winner off this mark last June, also won at Beverley in July over slightly further. Seems to want a quick surface; has failed to fire in both seasonal outings but it was a similar tale prior to winning here last year when money was down.

Both of MOXY MARES' runs this season have come over 1m2f, a trip that appears to be stretching his stamina. He shaped better at Windsor last time and should be competitive down in distance, with any rain that may fall a bonus. Previous C&D winner Tadaawol would have claims but they are tethered by a poor effort at Thirsk on Saturday, though any market support behind Ghayyar would be notable. Zeshov is now on a good mark while Lamloom might improve for the new headgear.
