A really hot novice race this and a Group class performer is almost certainly needed. VELORUM chased home Skardu in a maiden here last September and given that one's exploits this spring he likely is a Pattern class three-year-old himself so is favoured of three respected Godolphin runners. Desert Icon will have to be very smart to win this under a penalty but William Haggas is among the shrewdest trainer's in the business and his colt has shown plenty in two starts. Land Of Legends for Appleby's Godolphin 'teammate' Saeed Bin Suroor was narrowly touched off on debut and is another exciting youngster.
