Nottingham winner on debut and has run well in defeat twice since, most notably back at Nottingham last time out when only narrowly denied. Opening handicap mark looks a bit harsh though.

Improved from debut to win at Newbury next time out and placed in Listed company on final start of 2018. Not at his best at Newmarket on return but yard's runner can come on for their seasonal reappearance and booking of Moore is eye-catching.

Largely consistent throughout last season and rewarded at Lingfield when winning an eight runner handicap last month. 5lb rise perhaps a shade harsh but possible there's more to come at this trip.

A winner at Goodwood on debut but couldn't make his presence felt in a Group 3 next time and below par on three efforts this campaign. Needs the first-time visor to have the desired effect here.

Course winner last year and won three of his seven starts, most notably the valuable sales race at Doncaster in September. Respected back in a handicap here with a nice mark to work with.

Won three of his first five starts and generally running well in defeat on AW of late. Tongue-tie returns (on for two of his wins) and first-time cheekpieces may be able to eke out improvement.

Won back to back races towards the back end of last year and has produced two respectable runs in defeat either side of the winter. Draw may not be ideal here and best form has seemingly been on soft ground.

Won twice as a juvenile and not disgraced in a Listed event at this venue at the back end of the campaign. Improved from reappearance when fourth of 12 at Wetherby last time (well-backed) but will need more to play a part in a deeper race here.

Off the mark at the sixth attempt when landing a Doncaster maiden. Respectable run behind a smart looking sort on his return at Newbury but failed to build on that last time. Drops in trip with first-time cheekpieces but softer ground preferred.

Improved from debut to win at Wolverhampton next time and appeared a shade unlucky when runner-up of 10 at Salisbury on return last month. Dropped 1lb and useful claimer takes 7lb off; could be hard to beat if he comes on for the return run.

Shaped with promise as a juvenile and got his head in front at Wolverhampton in a five-runner event on handicap debut. Didn't look in the same form when return to turf though and others bring stronger form to the table.

Maiden winner at Dundalk last year but didn't build on that in two susbsequent starts as a juvenile. While she showed ability on return at Naas, she's disappointed twice since and is hard to fancy in a race this competitive.

An exciting prospect who got off the mark at the third time of asking when winning at Chelmsford. May have needed the run at Newmarket on return last month and not one to discount, dropped 1lb and back in trip.

A winner on debut at Windsor and only narrowly denied twice towards the end of last season. Draw not ideal here but open to improvement, particularly over this sort of trip.

Improved from his first two starts to win his next two over 6f at this venue. Mixed bag since and showed very little on return when last of seven at Beverley but it would hardly be a surprise if he bounces back at some stage.

Showed a game attitude to win at Newcastle last month and three of the four directly in behind have come out and won since. Handicapper hasn't gone overboard with his mark and he's an interesting runner, despite the wide draw.

16:05 York - 15 May 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A typically wide-open York handicap but THE NIGHT WATCH makes some appeal with a talented apprentice taking off 7lb and a chance that his mount will step forward from a respectable return at Salisbury. The Great Heir has course form to his name and isn't handicapped out of this but Watchmyeverymove could be the main danger with more to come at this trip.
