Gelding by So You Think out of a Tiger Hill mare. Dam raced once on the Flat, out of a half-sister (Unraced) to the top-class 1¼m/1½m Pilsudski. Pair of wide-margin defeat so far at Cork/Down Royal under this rider. Plenty more needed.
Half-brother to French winners Ultrason (2m4f-2m5f chase), Cannyon (1m5f AQPS Flat/2m4f hurdle) and Valse De Vienne (1m5f AQPS Flat). Improved with each of three starts, latest when third at Cork last month on good ground. Should have claims.

Placed on the Flat (7f) for Eve Johnson Houghton, and bred for stamina (by the Derby winner Sir Percy); hasn't torn up any trees over hurdles just yet (0-5), but it remains early days and showed more at Perth (2m4f, good; third) last time.

Failed to get partnerships around intact in all three point-to-point starts, makes rules debut here and only strong market support would generate interest.

Not without support in two recent point-to-point starts but fell on debut and pulled up since, may be best watched on first foray under rules.

Rajsaman gelding. Half-brother to French hurdler winners Korristo and City Korri. Dam fair French hurdler winner up to 2m3f. Debut outing.

Gelding by Salutino out of a Luso mare. Moderate improvement on second start at Down Royal (2m½f, good; 66-1) but still beaten 20L in midfield. Needs to show plenty more.

Beaten less than 10L on hurdles bow at Fairyhouse (2m, good; 66-1) in November but backwards step soon after at Cork on testing ground. Off since, market should guide this time.
€40,000 colt by Teofilo out of a Tamayuz gelding related to Group 1 Australian winner Happy Clapper and Humidor. Seven-race maiden on the Flat last year, yard not noted for hurdling exploits (1-13 previously).

Second runner for trained Joseph O'Brien in this, minor promise on debut at Down Royal (2m½f, good) this month and went backwards five days later at Cork. Has work to do on evidence to date.

Filly by Court Cave out of an Aahsaylad mare. Tailed off on debut at Sligo last month, finishing last of 12. Unlikely player on that evidence.

Unimpressive in three-race bumper career, sent off 80-1 on hurdles bow at Sligo (2m1½f, good to yielding) last month. Plenty improvement required.

Beat Hollow filly. Daughter of the mighty Cheltenham Festival winning machine Quevega (2m-3m hurdles winner); also 1m1f winner on Flat in France. Makes first start for champion trainer and stable jockey on board; likely key player.

18-race maiden in all codes, has gone close before in low-grade handicaps over timber, though weld in April at Cheltenham (2m1f, good; 14-1) in Grade 3 Juvenile handicap when taking third spot. Entitled to claims back in this company.

Princess Vega (5/4), Great Vizier (11/4), Flash De Clerval (4/1), So Enjoy (7/1), Pak Army (16/1), Paperback Writer (25/1), Wayfarer (33/1), Lucky Road (50/1), Ellipsism (50/1), Hewick (66/1), Korriman (66/1), Little Lady Lu (100/1), Lighthouse Rose (100/1), I See So (100/1)

14:05 Tramore - 14 May 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

No ordinary start to proceeding as PRINCESS VEGA is set to become the first daughter of the mighty mares Quevega to hit the racetrack. She's in the care of Willie Mullins, the master-trainer behind her mother's career and could take plenty beating in an otherwise average heat. Flash De Clerval showed more at Cork last time and is best of those with form, just ahead of So Enjoy who comes back into maiden company while Great Vizier also merits some respect.
  1. Princess Vega
  2. Flash De Clerval
  3. So Enjoy
