One from six, winning at the fourth time of asking in a Leopardstown handicap last August. Struggled in a couple of subsequent runs but can be forgiven when outclassed in a Group 3 contest at Naas in September. Not easily dismissed.
Classy Grade 1-winning, 169-rated hurdler in his pomp for trainer Willie Mullins. Second in this contest five years ago beaten a nose. May need a couple to falter and not getting any younger.
Out of a Grade 1 winner in Argentina, but has just a maiden claimer win to her name in eight starts in the US. Never a factor on debut in a Tipperary 7½f contest last month. Very little to be positive about.
Plenty to take out the geldings first couple of starts beaten a short-head in November and ¾L on seasonal return last month at Tipperary. Step up in trip likely to bring out some improvement.
Forecasts
Rasiym (1/1), Persian Lion (5/2), Flat To The Max (11/4), Arctic Fire (11/1), Mo Chara (100/1)
The Gordon Elliott-trained, FLAT TO THE MAX has returned in good form and can land the spoils in the closing race of the meeting. Edward O'Grady's Reliable Man gelding, Rasiym can give the selection the most to think about in a weak looking contest, while Persian Lion can battle popular veteran, Arctic Fire for remaining prize money.
