Niceley bred son of Dark Angel failed to place in four starts for Sir Michael Stoute last year including on Newmarket handicap debut. Sold for 9,000gns since and down 2lb for season and stable debut. Needs to improve.
Picked up a Musselburgh maiden hurdle in March and went close to breaking his Flat duck (10 starts) when just failing to get up at Haydock. In form and suited by the conditions, he should go close off just 2lb higher.
Wetherby winner off 3lb higher last June but has not added to that tally since. Better for two runs back when not far off his best at Haydock latest and handles any conditions. Well handicapped and down in grade, so should go well.
Now 4lb higher than when making all on fast ground at Redcar in August and struggled when upped in grade on final two runs last season. Previously progressive so could bounce back down in grade on reappearance but wouldn't want it too soft.
Any heavy rain would be a plus as the softer the better but losing run now stretches back to September 2017. Down another 4lb but last three runs, including two this campaign, have been very poor. Others look more reliable.
Left Luca Cumani for 6,000gns in October after struggling in both starts and also left his stable debut well behind with a much improved third on handicap debut. Give in the ground might help provide more of a test and he's got more to offer.
Enjoyed a good run of form in testing conditions back in the summer of 2017 with two seconds and then a win over this C&D. Disappointed next on good ground and now has a 634-day absence to overcome. On a good mark and support should be noted.
Infrequent winner on a long losing run with all three successes coming on the AW and a turf profile of 0-14. Needs to bounce back from a poor run and conditions a question mark.

This looks a tight second division of the contest where Chingachgook looks sure to to run well again after transferring his jumping form back to the Flat while Music Seeker is on a fair mark and back to form. Deinonychus is worth a check in the betting but the lightly-raced HIGHFALUTING caught the eye keeping on well on his handicap debut and looks one to follow.
