Won this two years ago (good) and best turf form has all been on a sound/fast surface. That is a concern with conditions as they are and he could be found wanting this time.
Placed here in the Group 3 Sandy Lane Stakes. Last seen beaten just 1½L in the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup 11-months ago. Bit to prove on softer ground, but strong claims if picking up where he left off.
Both wins have been at Doncaster (6f/6½f), including on good to soft (acts on soft). Reappeared with a good effort in Leicester's Listed Richard III Stakes last month, and looks a contender here.
Dual 6f soft ground winner as a juvenile, but has not won since then. Placed in Listed company this time last year, but disappointed when last seen in July and since gelded. May be capable of better, but has that to prove on reappearance.
Acts well on soft and won York's Listed Rockingham Stakes on it last year, producing easily his career-best to date. Held on his return in a Chantilly Group 3 last month, but may be better for the run. Even so, it leaves him with a bit to prove.
An interesting event where EMBLAZONED's Group 1 run last season stands out and earns him the vote, in the hope that he can handle these conditions. Laugh A Minute could be the one to exploit any weakness in that department, while Shabaaby relishes some cut and also looks a potential danger.
