4/1
Debut winner at Leicester (7f, good to firm) last June, and bettered that when close second under penalty at Newbury next time (6f). Another good effort when last seen in September. Since gelded and reappears for handicap debut from a fair mark.

Won first two starts over shorter last spring. Improved on those when going close at Ascot (6f, good to firm), on his handicap debut, from this mark. Fourth in Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy when last seen in October. Since gelded. Remains of interest.

Scored on debut at Ripon and then again on his third start at Catterick (6f, good to firm; easily) under a penalty. No major impact in nurseries, but did run well over 7f. Gelded since last run in October and very interesting from this mark.

Improved to win when stepped up to 7f at Wolverhampton on his handicap debut in January. Acts on fast ground and looks a player from 4lb higher on his return to turf after a break.

Scored on his second start at Redcar (6f, good to soft) in novice company last August, and has raised the bar on both runs since. Went close on handicap debut when 2lb lower at Chester in September. Since gelded and not ruled out from decent draw.

Recorded back-to-back York wins (6f, inc on good to firm) last May. Inconsistent towards the end of last season and not seen since October. Dropping to a more feasible mark, but returns with a bit to prove.

Got off the mark over C&D (good to firm) at the seventh attempt last August, when 3lb lower and with Tom Dascombe. Faces stiffer opposition here, and needs to be a lot better than on his reappearance at Nottingham.

Forecasts

Nefarious (5/2), King Of Tonga (11/4), Motafaawit (4/1), James Watt (11/2), Kuwait Station (7/1), I Am A Dreamer (10/1), Five Helmets (33/1)

15:20 Beverley - 25 April 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

An interesting contest, where Motafaawit looks to be on a fair mark for his handicap debut and could go close, while James Watt and Nefarious are others of interest. King Of Tonga is another unexposed runner with claims, but the suggestion is KUWAIT STATION, who is proven when fresh, handles fast ground, and looks a contender from this mark.
  1. Kuwait Station
  2. Motafaawit
  3. Nefarious
