Regular visitor here but is only 1-17 overall at this venue. Makes debut for new yard and has 140-day absence to overcome so on balance others are preferred.

Falling to a potentially interesting mark and was noted staying on over 6f when fifth at Lingfield recently. Extra furlong should help as too will the drop in grade.

Has six AW wins to his name but has run moderately on last two visits here and seems better suited by Newcastle and Lingfield. 8lb higher than win during the winter and showed little last time on debut for new connections.

Last of nine at Kempton last month on first start for nearly 14 months. Won Lingfield 6f novice stakes prior to absence and is still unexposed. eased 4lb and worth a market check for any sign of interest.

Won here over 6f last August off 14lb lower mark and has won three times more since then. Narrowly failed off current mark at Kempton last time and looks sure to go well again.

Fair fourth over C&D in November off 8lb higher mark and won 7f h'cap at Lingfield in January. Has shown little in last five starts though and on balance may find this tough.

All six career successes have come at 5f and 6f and has yet to win over this far. Eased 1lb since last modest effort in Lingfield claimer and looks to face a fairly tough task over this trip.

Scored over C&D on final start for Alistair Whillans off this mark but hasn't been in quite same form in four starts for new connections and needs to raise his game to figure at the finish.

Won off this mark and over this trip at Kempton in September and was returning from long winter break when well held on turf at Leicester recently. Usually comes on for a run so chance he will be sharper now and is by no means out of the reckoning.

Only career win in 14 starts came over a mile and suspicion that is her best trip. Eased 1lb following poor run at Lingfield last time and others make rather more appeal.

Landed couple of 7f h'caps when trained by Mark Johnston and there have been fairly mixed messages so far in four starts for current yard. Didn't react well to first-time visor last time and headgear left off on this occasion.

Just 1-20 when trained in Ireland by Gavin Cromwell but made promising start for new connections when close third at Lingfield last month, staying on well. Runs off 1lb lower mark so has solid chance if in similar form.

Seeks fourth C&D victory and appeared not to see out the mile here last time when fading inside the distance. Back at optimum trip and eased 3lb so has decent each-way claims.

Dual C&D scorer but has lacked consistency this winter and she has failed to score since early September. May bounce back but hard to be too confident about her chance on recent evidence.

Scored here over 1m last month but has been well held in two subsequent starts, including here last time. Drop back to 7f no problem and not out of it with good apprentice claiming 3lb.

18:00 Chelmsford City - 18 April 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A trappy handicap populated by plenty of out-of-form horses. One who comes here in good heart though is GUNMAKER, who ran a fine first race for Ruth Carr when an eyecatching third at Lingfield last month. A similar effort may well prove good enough here. The consistent Chloellie looks sure to be on the premises once again, and Pearl Spectre won't be far away back at his best distance. Kafoo, Regulator, and Coverham are others with fair claims.
