C&D winner a year ago off a 1lb lower mark on good to soft amid some pleasing early season form. Mostly well held after, though went close penultimate start at Carlisle (5f, good to firm) in August. Tends to need a run.
The owner of a terrific record around here with four wins in nine appearances, though they have all come 6f. Acts on any ground but might just find this sharp enough on first run since November (has gone well fresh before).
Durable performed with 15 career wins (from 93 runs), latest in a Lingfield all-weather claimer over 6f in January. Well held in trio of AW handicaps at Newcastle and likely would prefer an extra furlong to organise his challenge back on turf.
Infrequent winner (5-60 all told) but often runs well so well worth considering. Good reappearance second on AW at Wolverhampton over this trip recently and runs on turf from the same mark now. C&D win on soft in 2018 and decent form at track.
Vastly experienced sprinter who historically has proved more effective on turf (8-50) than AW, where he's been running since joining this handler. Three-time 6f winner here, handles any ground and has had a recent wind op.
Was rated in the mid-80s a couple of years ago for Eve Johnson-Houghton. Improving with racing in four starts for this trainer, shaping well in 23-runner Navan handicap (5f, good) 16 days ago. Booking of Joe Fanning a positive.
Can be hit and miss, but capable on his day with five wins and eight placed efforts from 35 turf starts. Winner on the AW at Southwell over this trip last month, since run well of this mark and is one of two for trainer Paul Midgley here.
Only 1-16 in career so far, though remains unexposed on turf. On a fair mark if able to reproduce best of AW efforts on this surface with first-time blinkers tried.
Mare was a winner over this trip at Beverley (good to firm) in summer of 2017 (rated 60). Mostly well held in five turf runs last year but on a nice mark here and fit from pair of AW runs recently.

An open sprint with plenty chances and the vote goes to FOXTROT KNIGHT. A former C&D winner, he's got a good record at this track and is now 3lb below his winning mark from last May. He ran well on the AW at Wolverhampton (second) on reappearance and should be primed for this as a result. Multiple course winner Johnny Cavagin is noted back on turf after a recent wind op and may go well while Joe Fanning's presence on Super Julius is eye-catching following a pleasing run in Ireland late time.
