Winner of a 1m2f Lingfield seller already this month, he carries a 6lb penalty for his troubles and will seemingly have put out a bit more for application of first-time blinkers to maintain winning ways.

Bred for this sort of trip and twice ran well in novice company over a mile last year. Flopped in France when last spotted, has undergone a wind op since and likely is capable of better things.

Sister to smart middle distance performer Johannes Vermeer showed enough in three runs last year over a mile to warrant a close check now returned for handicap bow, with Mark Johnston team already hitting their stride.

Filly with four runs for two trainers, one good/one less so in each instance. Should relish this longer trip and wouldn't be overlooked on those two solid efforts in defeat.

Getting the hang of things after six runs and probably has a race within her. Given plenty to do at Chelmsford this month over this trip and stayed on without threatening.

Low-cost purchase, doesn't match appeal of some of these on paper and well held in three qualifying runs. Handicap debut and plenty more demanded.

Lightly-raced, never a threat in a nursery here last time over a mile having been held up. Still early days and hood is added here, should be capable of better things.

Australia filly who cost 22,000 gns as a yearling and has been well held in three qualifying turf runs last year. Makes AW/handicap bow off a break and has plenty improvement to find.

Forecasts

Sapa Inca (5/4), Navadir (11/2), Padmavati (11/2), Little India (6/1), Cafe Espresso (8/1), Wanaasah (14/1), Riverina (16/1), Mrs Meader (33/1)

19:15 Kempton - 12 April 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Sapa Inca makes decent appeal on paper for this sort of test and must be monitored closely in the betting after a layoff. There was enough in her form last year to suggest this opening mark is workable. LITTLE INDIA is also bred for the job and ran well on her first two starts as a juvenile, including over a mile around here. She's forgiven a poor run in France in the autumn and could be all the better for a wind op since. Padmavati lurks as a possible improver in the making while Wanaasah wouldn't be out of this if putting her best foot forward.
  1. Little India
  2. Sapa Inca
  3. Wanaasah
