Sole success in 17 starts came over 7f as a two-year-old. Appeared to be running into form from his reduced mark until a below-part effort at Kempton last month, although he lost his chance when hampered at the start, and can't be dismissed.
Best effort for Alessandro Botti when third in G3 Premio Parioli Italian Guineas), but failed to repeat that for current yard despite flashes of form. Gelded since last season, and tried in a hood now.
Won a Lingfield claimer last month, and better form when close second in a 7f Kempton handicap last time. Claims on that effort, but vulnerable to less exposed rivals.
Won off 3lb lower at Ascot (7f) last summer, and had excuses on next two starts, but ran poorly at Newmarket in September. Has a solid profile on all-weather, and no surprise to see him back on track.
Only defeat in seven starts this year came on Fibresand, and he quickened smartly to win a slowly-run 1m handicap here last time. Still thriving, but a slight concern that he cuts back to 7f here.
Runner-up over 1m here last month, and best forgiven his latest run behind Lion Hearted as he didn't get the run of things in a messy race, Can get closer now, but all his wins have come over 1m, and this shorter trip isn't ideal.
On a lengthy losing run, and that is beginning to look like more than bad luck. Below best at Chester in September, and needs everything to drop right even if he is fully tuned-up.
Won a C&D handicap off a 1lb lower mark last summer, and has generally run respectably since, albeit without looking like adding to his tally. Needs to find his best form, but did win on last year's return, so can clearly go well fresh.

Lion Hearted has been another huge success story for Mick Appleby, and can go well again, but the cut back to seven furlongs is a concern given he stays a mile well, and marginal preference is for PERFECT HUSTLER, who can be excused a couple of disappointments since winning over this trip at Ascot in July, and he remains on a pptentially lenient mark. That comment also applies to Quick Breath, who won first time out last year, and could go well again after a break.
