Two wins for this yard with the latest win coming in a small-field affair at Musselburgh although it hardly proved her stamina for 3m. Ran very poorly last time (out of character); folded tamely at Exeter, type to bounce back quickly.

Plenty of experience around here winning a C&D handicap in November but off a 9lb lower mark. Has run with consistency since that win but doesn't really look to be progressing; looks held off this mark but should give a decent account.

C&D back in November 2016 prior to being successful in two chases early last year. Yet to really fire over fences this term but did run well over 3m back over hurdles here in January (off lower hurdles mark); claims back in this sphere.

Opened her hurdling account (second attempt) at Leicester (2m, good) before running some fair races in handicaps (3m looked to stretch her last time). First-time cheekpieces now replace the usual hood; holds more scope than most in this.

Improved last August to land a pair of races at Bangor (novice and handicap) appearing to be suited by the 3m trip on the second occasion. Failed to quite live up to expectations on her hat-trick bid; claims if fit and ready to go after a break.

Up in trip for her handicap debut she overcame the run of the race (held up off a slow pace) to score with a bit in hand at Huntingdon last time. Stable driving for 200 seasonal winners and likely that there will be more to come off a 5lb higher mark

Trainer has put together a fair strike-rate with his handicap debutantes in the last five years (28%); this one has shown promise in maiden/novice hurdles, looks a potential improver. Only seen over 2m so far; this extra distance will be a bonus also

Rather lost her way from the form that she was showing in last year (won a handicap off 1lb higher). Plenty to prove on the back of three poor runs this year finishing last of nine on her most recent start; yard hold better chances with Mabela.

16:25 Ludlow - 1 April 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

With the Dan Skelton yard chasing the 200 winners for the season it won’t be a surprise to see his Huntingdon scorer MABELA who won with something to spare last time add another victory to the tally here. Few of the others look ahead of their marks although It’s Okay, Burn Baby Byrne and Midnight Target all have the capability of running a sound race off their current marks. The dark one in the race who should be noted for a positive market move is undoubtedly Mrsgrey for a stable who should always be respected with their handicap debutantes with this one having shown ability and expected to appreciate the increased distance.
  1. Mabela
  2. Mrsgrey
  3. It's O Kay
