Cost €115,000 at the May 2017 breeze-ups as a half-sister to smart sprinter Captain Dunne. Had wind surgery last year and probably best watched on belated debut.
Son of Havana Gold who cost 190,000gns as a yearling. Needed the run on debut and showed some improvement over this C&D on second start last year. Likely to progress again for this stable with age.
Sent off an odds-on favourite in a Pontefract maiden but ran poorly following two promising runs. Gelded ahead of season and AW debut and could well bounce back.
Exceed And Excel colt bought for 260,000gns. Ran three times on turf last year and his opening two seconds sets the standard. Disappointed subsequently at Nottingham but is bred to go well on the AW and remains of interest on return.
Dandy Man filly ran in a smart Thirsk maiden and then the Hilary Needler at Beverley, struggling on both occasions. Lengthy absence to overcome on AW debut and plenty of improvement required.
€68,000 daughter of Coach House and her dam has produced top sprinter Tasleet. Third on both starts last year without improving but that form would rate her as a leading player.
Forecasts
Mawakib (1/1), Ustath (5/2), Serengeti Song (4/1), Northern Queen (20/1), Sarasota Bay (28/1), Antico Lady (66/1), Reformed Character (66/1)
Market support should be noted in a tricky race where it should pay to stick with those with experience. USTATH is very interesting switching to an artificial surface and has the best form on offer. Serengeti Song like the selection disappointed when last seen but should have much more to offer. Sarasota Bay and Mawakib are the other likely challengers.
