Son of Zodiac, gelded ahead of belated debut. Price reduced from 24,000gns as a yearling to £1,100 in November 2018 and unraced for James Tate. Best watched.

Maxios colt cost €150,000 as a foal but failed to improve on 2018 debut for Jim Bolger when never involved on this month's stable debut after changing hands for 7,500gns. Easy to overlook.

Dark Angel colt, cost £120,000 as a yearling and made a successful winning debut at Newmarket last April. Sets the standard and looked physically like the type to improve with time. More to offer up in trip and rates the one to beat.

Price rose from 20,000gns as a foal to £42,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to a Hungarian winner and this should be a suitable trip on breeding. Worth a check in the market on debut.

47,000gns yearling but sold for 38,000gns in October 2018. Failed to progress from debut when a well-held fourth over this C&D last month and improvement required.

260,000gns purchase from the first crop of Slade Power. Showed promise on debut but was below that when a disappointing favourite on return from 204-day absence last month. Step up in trip may help but more needed.

Well-bred son of Oasis Dream, cost 32,000gns as a yearling and a half-brother to three winners including Group 3 scorer Rare Rhythm. Stable in very good form and a likely type on debut.

Son of Dawn Approach, cost 42,000gns as a yearling and a half-brother to four winners. Stable quiet at present and market should prove best guide on debut.

Daughter of Kyllachy cost 12,500gns as a yearling and €10,000 as a juvenile. Well-beaten at huge odds in both starts here last year and hard to make a case for.

Daughter of Monsieur Bond shaped with some promise when green and hampered over 6f here on this month's debut. May find this too strong again but improvement likely.

Teofilo filly was green and didn't get a clear run in a tight finish on debut at Chelmsford in October. Only likely to progress for leading connections and rates a danger.

Soul Searching35
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-8| J: Oisin Murphy| T: J Tate
9/2
Ran in a tough race on debut last May and left that behind when second over this C&D last month. Should be involved again from a good draw.

Forecasts

Jackstar (8/11), Soul Searching (9/2), River Dawn (7/1), Oasis Prince (18/1), Sea Storm (20/1), Shamkha (22/1), Bobby Shaft (28/1), Global Destination (28/1), Delta River (100/1), Cardano (100/1), Kyllachy Princess (100/1), Lauberhorn Rocket (250/1)

19:30 Wolverhampton - 26 March 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Shamkha and Soul Searching are likely big improvers for strong yards and with the allowances their form wouldn't be that far behind JACKSTAR. The latter though was very impressive in a good race on debut and is hard to go against. The biggest danger may come from the unknown quantity in Oasis Prince, whose stable is doing so well in these type of events.
  1. Jackstar
  2. Oasis Prince
  3. Shamkha
