Winner of his sole start in Irish point-to-points who has made a solid start to his life under Rules before disappointing last time, although in a much better race than on debut. Can't be written off for a leading yard but has a little to prove.
Fairly useful handicapper on the Flat for this same yard; completed a handicap hat-trick from May-July last year at up to 1m3f. Shaped as if amiss when last seen on the Flat; looked far from 100% right on his one hurdling start so far.
Three placed efforts over hurdles in France (all at slightly longer than 2m) showed that he had ability. May well have needed the run last time (first run back from a wind op) in a slowly-run affair; cheekpieces now on, progress expected.
In front when falling at the last (only start in Irish point-to-points); showed that he had ability under Rules on his first start over hurdles at Fontwell (beaten 14L). Tongue-tie (first-time, next outing, retained); failed to repeat first effort.
Pulled up on his first hurdles start for Olly Murphy (showed promise in all three bumpers for the stable) and ran to a better level on his first hurdles start for current yard. This grade looks easier; repeat of his last run gives sound chance.
Bumper form indicated that he would get involved over hurdles (runner up all three starts). However he's shown a predilection to finish weakly on all three hurdles starts; now returns from a wind op, respected on his earlier form.
Mild promise in a couple of point-to-points before hinting at some ability under Rules when fourth in a big-field Hereford bumper; still beaten a fair way though. Would need to step forward markedly to take a hand in the finish here.
Pulled up in and Irish point-to-point on his only start in that sphere he went with very little encouragement on debut. Took a keen hold, outpaced for much of the journey, finished well beaten; hurdles debut.
Returns from a mammoth absence and having shown very little ability in bumpers and over hurdles prior to the break it's hard to see her making an impact.

The wind operation that Larkbarrow Lad may have cured his weak finishing ills but that has to be taken on trust and there are one or two that would be of greater interest given their propensity for progress. IMPERIAL KNIGHT would be one of those and he represents a stable in good form and he certainly took a step in the right direction last time at Ascot in a deeper race than this. Former stablemate of the selection Doncesar De Pretot is expected to show some further progress with a better gallop than he got last time likely to be to his advantage. It’s too early to write off Accordingtogino especially given his connections but his last run does leave him with a little to find.
