4-13 in PTP's, including at nearby Corbridge; remains a maiden under rules having been beaten a neck at Leicester (2m6f+, good) last week; cheekpieces applied with Brian Hughes booked to ride.
PTP winner (April 2016); has found life tough since joining Lucinda Russell for £35,000; handicap mark easing (down a further 5lb), so that offers a glimmer of hope.
0-5 over fences, including when finishing a distant third to Glittering Love over C&D (heavy) in December; poor since and now 8lb lower in the weights.
25-race maiden (0-10 over fences); has left Prunella Dobbs since competing at Punchestown on New Years Eve; found a weak handicap in which to start-off life for a new trainer.
Ten-race maiden (0-6 over fences); has found the frame on a couple of occasions over 2m at Sedgefield, including when beaten just under 5L by the unpredictable Roxyfet three-weeks ago.
Made relentless late progress (baulked on the run-in) when beaten ¾L by Mr Witmore in this contest in 2018 (heavy); witnessed in competitive action just once since, so difficult to enthuse over despite her 2lb lower mark.
Has winning form at this track (2m) but you have to go back to 2017 to find the last time he visited the winners enclosure, and there's not been much cheer since; trainer saddled a winner at Sedgefield on Tuesday.
20-race maiden; lacks much in the way of previous experience over fences despite his age (0-2); wears first-time cheekpieces; others just about preferred.
Forecasts
Solid Strike (11/8), Well Joey (11/4), Outnumbered (6/1), Ringaringarosie (11/1), Silverton (11/1), Sory (12/1), Lost Frequency (20/1), Gin Cobbler (25/1)
It's not stretching the imagination to state that this is a particularly weak race even by Hexham standards, although it does feature last year's runner-up Silverton. With viable threats at a bare minimum, by far the likeliest candidate is the top-weight SOLID STRIKE. This fact has clearly been recognised by the agent of Brian Hughes, so with a safe round of jumping this should be yet another winner on the board.
