Has run well on both starts this winter without matching the standards he set as a juvenile. Makes handicap debut with trainer having had four winners from his last five runners.
Has improved with each run this winter and slow pace would not have helped last time when sent off favourite. Now makes handicap debut over a trip more in line with her pedigree and has to be a leading contender.
Formerly entered for the Irish 1000 Guineas but has only looked ordinary to date. Stable had a winner the other day so a market move would make her more interesting.
By Dark Angel and a half-brother to five winners including Jacqueline Quest. Has looked moderate thus far and he has been gelded during the winter. Blinkers on first time and hard to fancy off his current mark.
Winners and stamina in her pedigree so no surprise should she step up on previous efforts now tackling this trip, however the same applies to others in this who have already shown more.
Has looked modest in three starts to date. Happy to overlook her run at Southwell but her two previous starts suggest she will struggle off this mark.
Forecasts
Barossa Red (5/2), Cabarita (7/2), Smarter (9/2), Ivory Charm (6/1), Thermal (8/1), Rock Up In Style (10/1), Al Daayen (25/1), Gabrial The Giant (33/1), Swift Justice (33/1)
CABARITA makes plenty of appeal on handicap debut as she was well-supported last time for a race that was run at a muddling pace. She is open to significant improvement over this longer trip and the opposition looks weak. Barossa Red represents a stable having a good run and Thermal may prove better than she has shown. Swift Justice was runner-up in a poor event and the remainder have shown little worthwhile form.
