Only one previous attempt on this surface (offered little) and was well below form when last seen on the Tapeta; same trip as today. Gets eased in grade now but was slowly away last time and others have a more persuasive case.

Course winner over 1m but off a 7lb higher mark back at the start of last year. His one run here after that was below-par and he's failed to impress of late (tried in first-time blinkers last time); returns from a break with a tongue-tie back on.

C&D winner when with Richard Fahey last year off a lowly mark but hasn't shown that much for his current yard over hurdles (only one Flat run for them). Trainer to be respected here and a return to this surface may rejuvenate this one.

Last course win came off a 3lb higher mark and he's run some fair races around here since including over this trip. He is however without a win for over a year now and likely to need a little more help for the handicapper to win again.

Course winner although his losing run is starting to build up now and he appeared to waste a golden opportunity to get back on the winning trail last time over 7f. This trip is a rather alien one to him; other stronger stayers appeal more.

The Flat record that he has of 1-30 is a rather unappealing one finally getting off the mark a couple of starts ago over 1m2f in a lowly grade. Has rather reverted to type of late; well backed last time but ran no sort of race, caution advised.

Not easy to make a case for having left a stable that do well here and now making her debut for a new yard. Did run her best race over C&D last summer but her two starts since then have been rather lack-lustre; best watched for now.

Has had a rather chequered career for this yard under both codes and has yet to win a race for them. Took a step back in the right direction on his last Flat run (very well handicapped now); worth a try back on Fibresand, run well here before.

Six runs here now without gaining a legitimate placing although he did finish second over 1m here last time (four-runner field). Beaten 8L on that occasion (maiden company) he now returns to handicaps stepped up 4f in trip; cheekpieces back on.

Still a maiden after 20 Flat runs despite being placed on her last two starts on the Fibresand. Best of her recent runs came last time over C&D where she managed a modest third in a low-key handicap; should be competitive, place chance again.

Far from reliable and has only ever won one race and is 0-8 at this trip; the one win came over 1m6f. Gets his first experience of Fibresand today (sire has a modest record here); recent runs have been poor; not one to be interested in.

A ten-time course winner with three coming over C&D but seemingly a light of former days. Looks well-treated on his old form but it's arguable if he can produce anything like that there days; well held when last seen.

Has shown some aptitude for this surface and ran with credit last time over 1m here without posing any real threat to the principals. Those late gains suggested that a little further will suit but does have stamina to prove over this 1m4f trip.

Lightly-raced maiden who is already housed in her third stable having offered very little so far for this or her previous yards. Tried over 1m6f here last time in an exotic headgear combination; now tries a new amalgamation of headgear.

17:00 Southwell - 12 March 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Not a race where it’s easy to have a strong opinion but it may well give PULLMAN BROWN a chance to break his maiden for this stable as he looks very well handicapped now and he didn’t run too badly on his one previous try on Fibresand. Siyahamba is a consistent sort but is winless in 20 starts and backing her to win may be a thankless task. Lean On Pete has plenty of form around here but does need some help from the assessor to get his head back in front while Ipcress File should go well if he stays this far. Amadeus is a C&D winner and the trainer’s GB runners should always be respected perhaps a return here will rejuvenate him.
