Miss Honey Ryder51
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: Harry Teal(5)| T: W Greatrex| CD
3/1
Penalised for her C&D win in January but the mare - a half-sister to Western Ryder - ran on strongly on that occasion and can make another bold bid here. Shortlisted.
2
Horse silk
Crem Fresh51
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: David Noonan| T: P Gundry
10/1
Has winners in her pedigree but the mare was well held behind Miss Honey Ryder here in January and has work to do to reverse the form despite being 7lb better off at the weights.
3
Horse silk
40/1
Finished a well beaten fifth of nine on debut at Uttoxeter in December and already has improvement to find. Likely to better over hurdles when also upped in trip judging by her pedigree.
4
Horse silk
Fu Fu
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-0| J: James Best| T: R Walford
33/1
An unraced half-sister to hurdle winners Spellbound (2m4f) and Welcometothejungle (2m4f), the mare looks the part on paper. Yard not really noted for first-time out winners though. May be better with the run behind her.
5
Horse silk
40/1
Nothing too outstanding about her pedigree and, given that her yard is quiet just now, the mare is probably best just watched to see how she handles her racecourse debut.
6
Horse silk
33/1
A daughter of tough stayer Milan, out of an unraced half-sister to a number of point-to-point winners. Represents a yard that is going great guns; worth a betting check at least.
7
Horse silk
Toodlepiph1,t44
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: N D Fehily| T: H Fry
7/2
Cost €21,000 as a foal, there was a fair bit to like about her latest effort when fourth of seven at Doncaster; the mare only weakened inside the final furlong and but still caught the eye. Another worth a betting check.
Cost €14,000 as a yearling, the mare showed a good deal of improvement at Fontwell last month and may have more to offer. She is a half-sister to a bumper winner so merits respect accordingly.
A Kayf Tara mare out of a half-sister to useful chaser Cogry and hurdle winner The Caller; likely the trip will be on the sharp side but her yard is going well so worth the customary bettering check.
10
Horse silk
3/1
Yard does well with this type of individual but the daughter of Fame And Glory does strike as one that will need a longer trip judging by her pedigree. May need more time.
11
Horse silk
16/1
A Cityscape mare out of Cill Rialaig, who won a bumper on her debut and went on to further success in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham; makes plenty of appeal on pedigree. Yard going well. Leading contender on paper at least.
12
Horse silk
Whoopsey
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-6| J: M G Nolan| T: H D Daly
8/1
A daughter of Presenting out of a Definite Article mare; her yard can have one ready for a race of this nature. Another for the shortlist.

Miss Honey Ryder (3/1), Miss Austen (3/1), Toodlepip (7/2), Whoopsey (8/1), Kayf Sera Sera (17/2), Crem Fresh (10/1), Urban Artist (16/1), Avorisk Et Perils (20/1), Fu Fu (33/1), Peltwell (33/1), Czech Her Out (40/1), Kandula (40/1)

17:40 Taunton - 11 March 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

As ever in bumpers, the betting can be an informative tool and support for URBAN ARTIST could prove to be a significant factor in the day's finale at Tauton. Miss Honey Ryder, who picks up a 7lb penalty for a C&D win, has to merit close scrutiny and is rated as the best alternative, while Toodlepip has the benefit of experience and can also play a strong supporting role. Whoopsey and Pentwell are others to watch with an eye on the future.
  1. Urban Artist
  2. Miss Honey Ryder
  3. Toodlepip
