Continued winning steak with another fairly effortless win at Chelmsford a fortnight ago, quickening clear inside final furlong for clear-cut victory. Step back up in trip no bother, up another 8lb but no reason not to give another bold showing.
Useful if quirky sort at his best, has been plying his trade out in Meydan with little success but is now race fit and this does look a little easier. On a fair mark now and if the change of headgear works, could have a say in matters.
Won this last year (when with Marco Botti) and 2lb lower here, so no qualms from a handicapping point of view, but a couple of recent efforts lacking and now connections try cheekpieces. Risky enough, and others preferred.
Winner at Lingfield last month (at this trip) and ran at least as well when trying to follow that up. Acts on the track and although he will need a good pace to aim at (often held up) can't be dismissed.
Rattled off a four-timer in February in quick time, and clearly in good heart, but speed figures for those wins only moderate and now takes a big hike up in grade. That, and another 3lb jump in the handicap, are enough to make you look elsewhere.
In good form when last seen out in the autumn, and looked to be improving, but changed yards since then and likely to need this after a break. Will win more, but may have to wait for another day.
Has the ability but a record of 4 wins in 46 starts tells you he's devilishly difficult to win with. Got a peach of a ride to score for Jamie Spencer when last seen but that was back in September, and he may well need this.
Forecasts
Matterhorn (8/11), Executive Force (4/1), Dark Red (7/1), Nonios (14/1), Ghayadh (16/1), Kyllachy Gala (20/1), Oasis Fantasy (25/1)
MATTERHORN keeps winning, which is never a bad thing, and despite another hike in the weights doesn't appear to have peaked yet and can make all here. Nonios and Dark Red will both appreciate a good pace and can chase him home.
